Rebel Without a Cause, just call it "Rebel" and have Scorsese or Marc Webb direct it.

And I wanna play Jim Stark.

I would hate to see The Goonies remade. It's great the way it is and that's how I want to remember it. For starters, just look at what Hollywood did to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and The Karate Kid. Those remakes are nothing more than cash-grabs.

I wasn't completely against the idea of Spielberg and Will Smith remaking Harvey, though it'd be a tough role for Smith to nail since, in my opinion, Harvey featured James Stewart's best performance ever.

But for the most part I detest remakes.

On the other hand, who cares if Hollywood wants to remake a shitty movie.

I think they are ruining the originals. I saw one where they are talking about remaking Back to the Future. WTF. I know they do remakes all the time like Oceans 11 (but that was a movie from the 50s that I never saw)

I'll admit this and why I watched it I dont know, Cant Buy me Love and they remade it with the guy that married Mariah Carrey I think. But instead of whiteys they used blackies and instead of a leather outfit getting ruined the girl smashed the grill on her mom's expensive car.

Will admit I kinda enjoyed the new Karate Kid but that was probably because I took my 4 year old son to see and watching him eat popcorn and his little legs hang off the end and then cheer at the end I ate that up.

Why would someone even try and remake that. Worst. Idea. Ever.

Back to the Future......WTF? That movie, at least in my mind, was quirky, but was entertaining because the actors brought in a great performance. I can't see it being remade, and I don't think Christopher Lloyd's performance as Doc could be replicated.

Someone actually made an episodic game series, and Lloyd did the voice for Doc on that. The first one was released last year, but this is the first I've heard of it.....not sure how it was received.

I loved all the back to the futures, but just google it. there is talk from Zac Efron to Bieber playing McFly. Johnny Deep as Doc in some things Ive read. I even saw one where Speilberg has the script and the original cast would pop in

Just posting what I read. I agree, some movies should not be touched.

Their acting can't be worse than the English Dub.

Ha, to be honest now that I think about it I've only heard the English Dub of Akira. I can't imagine Akira without the English Kaneda and Tetsuo voices yelling at each other the entire movie.

The original Japanese version wouldn't be the same

All I am going to say is that if Efron or Bieber, or anyone similar to them, gets in the movie, it's going to be terrible, but the movie executives will be all the way to the bank.
