As far as the Django mythos goes (there's like 15+ movies featuring the character alone plus guest starring roles, etc.), it'll be interesting to see what Tarantino does with it considering the original character is a dirtier version of "The Man with No Name."

Small news bit about who's going to be in the film...

Christoph Waltz and Samuel L. Jackson are attached and now even Will Smith wants in on the picture.

Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio were offered roles with DiCaprio turning down what would eventually become Waltz's part...

Considering the hammy work Waltz did as Landa in "...Basterds" and 'Bloodnov' in "The Green Hornet," the tone might be either super serious or another Grindhouse epic.

Leonardo DiCaprio as a racist slave owner? Gonna be epic. Anyone else find this hilarious that it comes out Christmas day? It has to be the least family fun film ever.

Edit: Also Sam Jackson is the leader of the slaves that reports everything to Leos character.

I don't particularly like Jamie Foxx, but it's hard to dislike a character in a QT movie; he gets the most out of his actors. i was really pulling for Idris Elba to get the role, but unfortunately he did not get the part.
