DirecTv dropping FX on November 1st

WTF?!? No 'It's Always Sunny', 'The League', 'Sons of Anarchy' and others?!? You can't be serious. And why haven't I seen this on VSD yet?

There could be bad news ahead for fans of certain Fox cable channel series who use DirecTV. The network's carriage agreement with the digital broadcast satellite service expired at the end of last months and since things haven't been cleared up between Fox and DirecTV, the service may be dropping a number of channels as of November 1st.

The only time I ever watch any Fox channel is when I watch my 2 soccer games a year. I'm more then happy to take the year of free NFL Sunday Ticket as a trade off.

Nothing to see here. Most insiders believe this will be resolved at the deadline.

It would only affect the FOX broadcast network in a handful of markets. Everyone would lose the cable networks, though.

Ya this happaned a few times to my cable carrier in Orlando and in New York, and every time it was resolved.

Both sides usually take it to the deadline, hopefully they will make a deal by Nov. 1.

i saw the commercial today and almost shit. My wife loves those shows so I called and direct tv said dont worry, they are in talks and everything is going to be ok.

I said to her figures it was a Dish Network Commercial. She responded that they were in the same situation and they resolved it. No way will we let this drop, we are in negotiations with them already.

If we don't get FX I'll just watch The League online, no big deal. It says in my zip code that I'd still get Fox.

These things don't always get resolved by the deadline, but most of the time they end up working out a deal within a few weeks at the most after the takedowns happen. Dish Network has had a few of these negotiations as well. I don't have DirecTV's package that included VS channel, but did they ever get that one back?
