That's why he really needs to get a good competition competitor out this week. That needs to be his #1 priority. He has two people on the block that have won nothing. And has people off the block that have won many comps.Comment

Hoping its going to be something like Coup d'etat power or Diamond Power of veto.
Gotta pull for the underdog Frank.
Was that the audience cheering against Frank during the PoV last night? or was that just the quack pack pulling for the quack pack? It was hard to tell from the audio seemed like I heard boos or more cheering for the quack pack.Comment

I just checked some websites and they said, they initially groaned booed Frank when he got his 1st clover. But after the 2nd clover they cheered him, thinking maybe there were prompts in the live audience.
EDIT: Just went back and rewatched it. Loud cheer for Ian after the 1st clover. Frank's 1st clover there was a loud groans and some booing. Definately not close to cheering. When Frank get's his 2nd clover there is a mix of groans, didn't really here any all out cheering. Then when Frank goes for the win there is cheering.lol. Quite bizzare. I would have to disagree the crowd was all out behind Frank. You can give it a rewatch on the cbs website.Comment

I've been to live tapings and TV show tapings. I live in Southern California, and a lot of times for some of these tv shows like sitcoms, live shows, etc, they sub contract out to companies to fill these seats (On Camera Audiences is the one we used). A lot of times they are college student groups (a ton of fraternities and sororities), church groups, etc any organization that needs money they offer "fundraising opportunity". They MAKE you clap, they will film the scene over and over and over again to make sure everyone in the scene is clapping. If you notice EVERYONE is clapping. And they do coach the crowd like "ohhhhh" "awwww" "booooo" etc. They even have a hype man and give out random prizes in between scenes while actors changes, they're pretty good prizes like $50 to best buy, amazon, starbucks, etc. It's fun sometimes because the hype man is usually really funny. a half hour show can take like 5 hours to film sometimes. They always do scenes over and over and over and over again, so the crowd has to always be into it.
The bigger shows like dancing with the stars, big bang theory, etc they dont have to pay people they just hand out tickets and people show up just to be there. The big bang theory doesn't have a laugh track by the way, but everyone thinks they do, they really do have a live audience. They probably laugh track for scenes that aren't on set, or maybe to make a few scenes here and there a little louder, but thats about it. They do scenes over and over and over again too, but they do a lot of improv as well, like do the same scene but with slightly different jokes or punch lines.

Admittedly i wasnt paying to much attention to the crowd as I was into the POV competition and payed more attention as Frank was winning.

I'm sure there were crowd prompts keeping the audience involved especially at the end of the comp for the applause for Frank. But if you do go back and check it out, you will hear what I described. Groaning and booing Frank at first, cheering Ian, then finally at the end cheered Frank.
You are right about the hype men before shows, I've been to a few Letterman shows. They have a hype man out before he comes out, gets everyone pumped and a random comedian. They have all the prompts going to make sure you are involved during the taping. They also do in fact keep the Ed Sullivan Theater really cold.Comment

There was a Pandora's Box. Frank got 3,000 bucks while all other hgs had a comp involving that crane in the arcade/parlour/cabana room and getting the little box within the crane game. First got Golden Ball of Veto which Ian won.
There will still be a POV competition tomorrow....so things could get real interesting with 2 people being allowed to use their vetoComment

There will still be a POV competition tomorrow....so things could get real interesting with 2 people being allowed to use their vetoI have a feeling this week will end with the Quack Pack fully intact and Joe will be walking out the door.
The plan seems to be get Shane or Brit to win POV and have them take off one of the noms. Then Ian uses his power to take off the other one. This leaves Frank to nominate whoever didn't win the veto (Shane/Brit) and Joe or Jenn. Quack Pack will have the votes to keep their member who is on the block and Joe or Jenn get voted out.
Dan really deserves to win this game if he gets these fools to save him. They are too loyal to see that he is a huge threat to them winning this game.Comment
