Big Boi: Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors

Leaked last night. Listened to it while I was burning some memorial bowls. A different sound that grew on me. I like it. I'll grab links for those who can't find it on their own.

Just spun it for the first time. It's not bad, but it's really strange.

Sounds more like something 3K would do than Big Boi. That's not necessarily a bad thing, because it works in a few spots (Descending) but it fails miserably in others (Raspberries). There's a lot of electronic influence in this as well, which I'm not too fond of. Favorites at this point would be Gossip and Lines, while Shoes For Running is by far my least favorite.

I was hearing bad reviews before hand, so I was afraid to listen at first, but it's not a bad album. Just strange.

Big Boi is heavy on the indie rock tip these days. Glad to hear he's experimenting. I don't want to rush this so I'm gonna wait for the official retail, but the track list sounds bananas.

Is that track with Killer Mike and Little Dragon as weird and awesome as it sounds on paper?

Wow this shit is garbage. It's like he thought just by randomly inserting Phantogram and Little Dragon hooks he'd have good songs.

Only up to track 8, and what I've heard so far I've enjoyed.

It's a bit all over the place, but it has a heavy indie rock and stoner electronica vibe on a bulk of the songs. There's a few token southern bangers in there with the requisite decorated guest stars.

I'm far too loyal to him and Andre to not listen to anything they put out. So it looks like I'll be gettin this later.

This growing on me, hard. The middle 5-6 tracks are amazing.

I like this album a lot. Big went in a different direction on it. Would think Dre3000 produced some of this the way it sounded.
