Yeah he would have to sit out 5 playoff games but then he would be back to my understanding.

      Interesting if that's true.

You can't change your roster mid series, so they would have to leave him off of the early round rosters and then activate him for the NLCS at earliest.

Victor Conte says "half" of MLB is cheating.

I don't know about half, but I definitely thing the game is far from clean (and that goes far all sports at the highest levels, for that matter), and I don't think it ever will be. Chemists will always be ahead of the testing. Who do you think develops the tests? And big time athletes with big time money will always find doctors and chemists willing to help them stay ahead of the curve.

I don't know about half, but you gotta think that once these guys began to realize that roids were the main target, they switched over to human growth hormone. BTW, testosterone is the most popular steroid and has been forever.

As far as chemicals and performance enhancing drugs go, the industry really hasn't advanced as much as you'd think. They aren't finding or inventing new chemicals that nobody else knows about. Conte refers to patches/gels/cream testosterones that have a half life of 8 hours, I've never heard of such a thing. There are different type of testosterones that you can take (3 main ones), that do differ in half lifes, but I've never heard the method in which they are absorbed make a difference in half life.

I do believe chemists can find new ways to mask the use of PED's though. Then again, testosterone is the most blatantly used PED in sports/bodybuilding. I don't know how they'd mask that.

I disagree with Conte, though, I think most guys are using growth hormone because it's so much harder to test. I don't think the MLB even tests for it, do they?

I don't think they do, because I don't even think there is a reliable test for HGH yet. And I think the tests that are out there (including the test used by the IOC) are blood tests, and I don't think the MLB CBA allows for blood testing.

Even with synthetic testosterone and TRT, without a baseline, unless they establish baselines for every player, a good lawyer is going to get that player off on appeals. Who knows how many elevated testosterone failures MLB has had, but lost the appeal. This shit is shrouded in secrecy. Melky didn't even appeal, yet it took WEEKS to announce the suspension. Why? This shit is so shady.

I think we are past the point of players using old fashioned steroids like Winstrol V and shit. Too risky. Maybe the young guys who are willing to roll the dice who can't afford advanced TRT or artificial testo.

Also, just like in MMA, i'm sure many players in their 30's have figured out that they can get TRT prescriptions from jock sniffing doctors and get away with artificially increasing their testosterone to the same levels as the 20 year olds.

This shit will never, ever end. Like Conte says, it's an IQ test and only the stupid will get caught.

                      For real though...

Baseball crossed the line first, sir. They squeezed them, they hammered them to the point of desperation. And in their desperation, they turned to performance enhancers they didn't fully understand.

LOL fabricated a fake website to say you bought the banned product from it.

Blame Ryan Braun for this, and the ones that try to get away from it after this.
