Oh yeah, in case I wasn't clear, the Reds were playing the Phillies that night.

Leave your house at 4:30, or live closer to the stadium, or live in a town that doesn't have its head up its ass regarding transportation.

Okay everyone, adjust your work schedules and/or the location of your home to suit the traffic situation around a stadium!

It's just a baseball game, it's not the end of the world if you don't get there right on time. People have work, kids, etc. LOL @ "dont live in a town that doesn't have its head up its ass regarding transportation."

I usually leave for a game 2 hours early and i get there pretty fast, find plenty of parking and have plenty of time to eat 2 dodgers dogs, nachos and a drink while watching all of the visiting teams bp. I live 22 miles from the stadium

I understand that people dont get out of work until 4/5/6, have to go home, pick up the kids and get back into traffic but the ladt couple of years i have seen people get to their seats half way through the game.

Why bother coming when you are going to leave in 2/3 innings anyway?

The Phillies drew 513,147 fans for their first 14 home games in 2013. That is 117,031 fewer fans than in the first 14 games of 2012. Their average decrease of 8,359 fans per game is second-most in baseball; only the gutted Marlins are worse.

I thought this was going to be about Chipper calling out Jason Heyward for being a lazy bum and not coming back from his surgery quicker.

Reasons why Dodger fans show up in the 3rd.

In the East and West, all the fathers in the Chicano community get off of work about 5pm, 6pm. By the time they eat dinner (papa no pay $60 just for hot dogs) they be just another clog in traffic. As for the remaining young, single Hispanic community, it is all about the pre-game. Pre SF shanking, we'd pre game in the parking lot. With half the LA PD roaming the Dodger stadium parking lot, fuuc we got to pregame at home or on the Freeway so we ain't really rushing. Lulz, if you East of the "Chicano" LA East like Anaheim, Riverside or West of the "Chicano" LA West like Beverly Hills, Santa Monica..blah, blah you fucked. Traffic.

In the South, you know how all them nigs be getting high before the ball game. Hell, them niggas don't want to be at no ball game. Them nigs want to get high and walk around the stadium. As for the hard working or rich American blacks in the South, families, hustlers, black hipsters, good kids staying in school, etc...its baseball. No rush. Only reason someone from Compton getting early to a Dodger game is cause he a hipster who chills with white boys who are also hipsters and want to chase down practice HR balls for their instagram.

The the North, what I'm referring to is Hollywood, Pasadena, Burbank.....a lot of them white boys the season ticket holders so fuck it for them. Them SUV's waste gas in traffic.

So in the end it boils down to a few major factors. Traffic, as stated above, and social disparities.
