                            Twins waive Tsuyoshi Nishioka per his request, and he also waived both his salary for next season and his buyout from the contract. Weird to see, but a good break for the Twins.

                                He was totally outclassed from the time he got here. Terrible acquisition.

                                                        The Japanese are a culture that is very prideful, so Nishioka probably feels it's the honorable thing to do to stop accepting money that he knows he's not earning. I'm surprises the union isn't stepping in, the blood sucking leeches that they are.

                                                        Gil Meche is the only other player I can recall who ripped up a contract and refused to be paid.
