    Thank you BJ Upton

Nice to see the fans in attendance recognize the great player BJ is and what he contributed to the organization. I'll miss him manning center field and chasing down balls that 90% of the league couldn't even try to make a play on. Hats off to you "Boss Man Junior."

Good clip. About the 1:50 mark you can see Upton crying in the dugout.

Now Mike Rizzo can get his center fielder

Upton's a solid player though. Never panned out as the total package as a top prospect, but Upton was a very reliable player for them. Hope his career continues well elsewhere, hopefully out of the AL East.

His bat never really developed the consistency that was expected, he still had a few big years at the plate though. What will really be missed is his defense. He literally would track down balls, without diving, that most of the league couldn't even try to make a play on. The guy runs like a fucking gazelle.

Been with the organization since he was 18 and was part of the Devil Rays...this move is harder than Crawford leaving.

A BJ Upton and Drew Stubbs platoon would be fun.

Not. They are the same person.

I would love him as a platoon option/4th outfielder between Crawford and/or Ethier.

But then I'll probably say that about every righty outfielder that comes along this winter.

Yeah...no one is going to sign him to be a fourth outfielder lol. He's had 3 20+ HR seasons, has a good career BABIP and is excellent defensively. He'll be someone's starting CF'er in 2013.
