He lost about 26%, which is the difference between picks 2 and 5. After taxes and everything, if the buyout is lets say 3 million dollars (which is conservative), he'd be paying about 1.4 million dollars just to play in the NBA this season.

Memphis yes, but OKC too. Atleast according to the the same rumours.

A source recently told DraftExpress, “Rubio doesn’t want to go to Memphis, and he especially does not want to pay money out of his own pocket with that huge buyout for the honor of doing so. (Dan) Fegan [Rubio’s agent] wants him in L.A., and if he can’t have him there, he wants him in Sacramento. [Definitely not Oklahoma City.“
So basically the bitch was butt-hurt when the Kings didnt take him and thinks he can pick and chose what team he gets to play for. Yeah.. doesnt sound like a SPOILED BITCH at all.

How could he have expected to go 2nd or 3rd when he made it clear he didnt want to go there? So recalculate how much he losses between going 4th and 5th.. bcus realistically thats where he was expecting to go, based on his own spoiled demands. Surey he didnt expect to go to the Clippers, either.

I was saying that he also said no to memphis so surely there is no way that the kid expected to go in the top 3. He ruined his own well-being (money wise) by turning down two of the top three!

              Oh, yeah, agreed completely.

Theres really no defence for this guy. Im not saying the T-Wolves are smart for drafting him, infact, its quite the contrary. And hey, good for him if he decides to go back to Spain and make money. But it doesnt change that hes a spoiled bitch. Hes done everything in his own power to come off as one, including going back on his own word.. a word that might've done good in making him look like exactly the opposite of a spoiled bitch.

If he decides to stay and play in Minnesota, then he will get atleast a portion of my respect.

I think the player cap is actually $400,000.

                        Here are some simple questions:

                        - Would you pay to have a job where you didn't want to work at?

                        - If you had alternatives, would you decide not to use these alternatives to better your position in your chosen field?

                        - If you felt a job could actually hurt your future in your chosen field, would you take it?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are an idiot.

So basically its ok in your mind for draftees to be able to pick and choose what team they get to play for. Why dont we just scrap the draft all together and just let top prospects be free agents? Or why dont we all give our word that we want to play in the NBA regardless of the financial situation and then completely go back on that word, too. Sounds like great things for young athletes to do.

Care to explain to me how it is so bad that a person gets to influence where he works? He doesn't get to choose what team drafts him, but he can definitely influence who does. He doesn't get to choose what team he plays for in the NBA, but he can definitely influence what team he plays for.

You want all the power to be in the hands of the NBA, all this kid is doing is calling the bluff of Minnesota. They had no intention of keeping him in reality, but now he is calling them on it and he is the bad guy? There is no bad guy in this situation, just the stupid people in Minnesota who drafted him.

What is your opinion of Cutler? You better hate him considering he went back on his word with Denver and acted like a "little bitch". Are you crying for him to blow out a knee in Chicago and never play again? Why not? He has done NOTHING in the pros of any major note.

How are the Cutler and Rubio situations even comparable? Cutler was pushed out of town by his new, moronic coach. Rubio is a 19 year old kid who has proved nothing, said he wants to play in the NBA, even if its for free, enters the draft.. GETS DRAFTED.. and now is being a complete little bitch about the situation.

LMAO @ calling Minnesota's bluff. What fucking bluff? Why would they fully come out and say we intend to play you together without having those intentions? If their intention was to use him as a trade asset, then they would have said 'we're evaluating all our options', typical NBA GM talk.

Rubio is a spoiled bitch. Theres no two ways about it. If you consider him a bad guy or not for that is of your own discression. I personally, dont like the kid, and hes doing nothing to help his image with me or others that feel the same way.

Lol @ and being bad that a person influences where he works. The NBA is not your typical work situation dude, especially when you're a rookie. When you enter a draft, you are going to get drafted by someone. Thats the whole point. Thats why you enter the draft. When you come out and say you dont want to go to 2 out of the 4 first teams picking first, you're already narrowing your options. So you fall to 5, a team drafts you who wants you, and now you come off as a bitch and want to go back home, going back on everything you've said in the last week. How is this not a bitch move? Im baffled by how you cant see that this kid is spoiled. He wants everything his way. This is the fucking NBA you little punk, you're just a fucking fly on the screen. The NBA wont miss Ricky Rubio if he never comes to play here, its a fucking privilege to play for ANY NBA team, only punks and spoiled bitches do shit like Ricky Rubio, especially when you've proven nothing. When vets demand trades and so forth, its earned through your play throughout your career. Rookies have no right to be doing this kind of garbage.

Oh my gosh, Denver looked into trade offers. Guess what Minnesota was doing all during the draft... trying to trade! Cutler is a spoiled bitch just as much as Rubio, even worse is the fact that they actually drafted someone at the same position in Minnesota when in Denver, Cutler was the clear cut starter.

As such, shouldn't you be crying that Cutler should blow out a knee and never play again? After all, it is an honor to play in the NFL and Cutler should have been happy and fulfilled the promise he made via contract to the Broncos rather than crying like a baby and basically forcing a trade.

Face it, Cutler = Rubio. Both were in a situation they didn't like and used their alternatives (holding out and Spain, respectively). The only difference is that you are riding Cutler's dick while bashing Rubio. At least I am consistent and not a hypocrite by saying that neither was really in the wrong.
