Carmelo Anthony traded to New York Knicks in blockbuster deal - The Denver Post

The Nuggets traded Melo to the New York Knicks tonight, a league source said. Denver gets Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, the Knicks 2014 first-round draft pick, the Warriors' 2012 second-round pick, the Warriors' 2013 second-round pick and $3 million in cash.
Anthony will go to New York, along with Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman.

As much as I love Carmelo, this season, all hes been is a headache, Melo is a huge reason I became a basketball fan, but times have changed, it was great having you here in Denver, and I can only wish you luck in New York, its a great city, and they have great fans.

Chauncey, feels like just yesterday you came back home, but sadly, you were drawn into all this drama. Just know, unlike Melo, you can come back any time, because this is home.


If people are wondering, yes I will still be a Nuggets fan, and yes, I will follow Melo in New York.

Some girl's status is "I swear to god if I see another status about melo whoever the fuck i'm going to vomit everywhere" so I posted this -

yo did you hear melo got traded to the knicks? the knicks gave up a lot, but in my opinion it was worth it because melo is a star. the nuggets would have been better off taking the nets trade, but melo would never have signed an extension so the trade would have never worked out. word on the street is that the nuggets will now trade mozgov and felton to the nets and devin harris will go to the mavs in a 3 team trade. this is dumb for the nets because felton only did well in NY because he was a part of that high powered d'antoni offense. the real question through all of this, though is whether or not chauncey billups will stay with the knicks or demand a buy out and go sign with the heat. he'd be better off getting bought out because he would never be able to keep up in a high paced d'antoni offense since he's 34 and definitely on the decline.
