I don't think Lala had any say in where he wanted to go. I haven't seen one report where Melo said Lala convinced him or anything.

Off the top of my head, has anyone in Knicks history worn #7? Like someone memorable? If not, it's time to make it "his".

Ny Daily News reports that since Dolan took over negotiations in the Melo deal, he's gone home to Indianapolis.

Forgot 15 was retired. Gonna take some getting used to seeing him in a single digit.

Good trade for Denver, can't see why the Knicks gave up so much for him, unless they were scared he wasn't coming in offseason.

He wasn't, it was either the Nets or Knicks.

            Like empire posted,

"Melo seriously thought he was going to Jersey, David Aldridge was reporting that Monday night before word broke about the Knicks, Melo was telling people he was going to Jersey. Then New York put Mozgov in the deal and got him."

Ok, then since the Nets are gonna need a PG after that we'll give you Mike Bibby for Melo.

                            How's that sound?

Knicks tried earlier today to get Portland involved in the trade to bring Camby back to New York but it never materialized.

NY/DEN/MIN are on a call with the league right now to make the deal official.

Melo has signed the extension, his max amount of $$$ and will be with the Knicks through the 2014/15 season.
