    2011 NBA Draft Lottery

The ping pong balls are in the air tonight (8:30) and teams will find out who gets what lottery pick.

While the draft as a whole is considered pretty damn weak, there are some potential gems at the top of the board.

This is how it works…the lottery determines the top 3 picks. Picks 4-14 are then determined by the remaining teams by standings with the worst team at 4 and so on.

Here are the lottery teams with the percent chance of getting #1.

    1. Minnesota Timberwolves -- 25%
    2. Cleveland Cavaliers -- 19.9%
    3. Toronto Raptors -- 15.6%
    4. Washington Wizards -- 11.9%
    5. Sacramento Kings -- 7.6%
    6. Utah Jazz (from NJ) -- 7.5%
    7. Detroit Pistons -- 4.3%
    8. Cleveland Cavaliers (from LAC) -- 2.8%
    9. Charlotte Bobcats -- 1.7%
    10. Milwaukee Bucks -- 1.1%
    11. Golden State Warriors -- .8%
    12. Utah Jazz -- .7%
    13. Phoenix Suns -- .6%
    14. Houston Rockets -- .5%

Right now the #1 pick is expected to be either PG Kyrie Irving or F Derrick Williams. F/C Enes Kanter, F Jan Vesely, PG Brandon Knight, PG Kemba Walker, C Jonas Valanciunas, PF Tristan Thompson and PF Donatas Motiejunas are considered the next best crop.

You think the NBA would be a little less predictable when they try to fix something. But we all did watch that dunk contest also. The lottery is just as rigged as when the Knicks won Ewing.

Sure is convenient that the kid with the disorder was the rep for the team that jumped up to the first pick. Can't script something that works out that well. I mean such a good story for the NBA.

                  lol.

Sure, they could've help rebuild a major market team like Houston or Toronto, or help boosting the second LA team by pairing another young star with Blake Griffin, but instead they are going to rig it so Cleveland and their shitty city and shitty franchise get it because they had some retard representing them.

That would've been the Clippers pick had they not dealt it to Cleveland

                      Random Thoughts:

The Clippers traded Baron Davis and the first overall pick to Cleveland for Mo Williams and Jamario Moon.....LOL. I wonder if there were even discussions of having that lottery pick top 3 protected?

Now the Cavs have to make the decision of is a Irving/Kanter combo better than a Williams/Knight combo....IMO Irving brings the most off the court appeal that many of these teams are looking for, so that has to come into play.

Hopefully the Raptors go international with their pick.

I'm surprised that I see a lot of people have Utah taking Jimmer Fredette......Fredette was a good scorer in college, but he's undersized, lacks quickness and really isn't the shooter everyone thinks he is. I'd like to see him take those 30ft shots of the dribble in the NBA.....his game doesn't really fit well in the NBA, because he mainly has to have the ball in his hands to be effective. He's a pounder who takes bad shots when the clock is going down.

Wizards are in a shitty way. If somehow they could move up a couple spots by dealing the sixth and eighteenth pick they might be able to do something better than last season but that's damn doubtful

I think the Wizards are fine with the 6 pick. Not sure what they'll be looking for, I assume it will be one of the big guys since they appear set at guard. Perhaps Jan Vessley.

No way Fredette goes to Utah, doesn't fit with them at all.

I was ranting about the Clippers trade and how hideous it was in the chat last night. Just a totally mind blowing trade.. not sure what in the blue hell the Clippers were thinking as a rebuilding squad. Even stupider for the Clips to not protect the pick as a top 3-5 pick.

Id only be happy if the Raps took Kanter as an international, and even then im not thrilled about taking a Euro. I really dont like anyone at our spot.. id actually prefer to be picking in the mid-round and get someone whos more worth the value of that kind of pick. Maybe we can work out a trade.
