Just finished the Dream Team book by Jack McCallum. It was much better than I thought...lots of interesting tidbits and new information. I would recommend it to any basketball fan. Quick run-down of how the players came off in the book:
Jordan - easily best player in the world. Inhuman endurance and partying.
Barkley - better than Malone
Drexler - weird and bitchy
Bird - smart, funny, better than Magic
Ewing - friends with Bird & Jordan, not great but much respected
Robinson - aloof from the other players
Magic - self-promoting, fake, annoying
Malone - self-made player
Stockton - tough, but probably not as good as Isaiah
Laettner - jerk
Mullin - smart
Pippen - great player, better than most Dream Teamers
Quick story: Arvydas Sabonis played for Lithuania...when Lithuania defeated the Russian team, Sabonis celebrated by getting drunk and raiding the female Russian athlete dorm in the Olympic Village.
