Kevin Love Trade Talks (Warriors Talks Dead)

They're moving along and reports have them including a bunch of names.

    Breaks down as:

    To Warriors:

    F Kevin Love
    G Kevin Martin

    To TWolves:

    1st Round Draft Pick
    G Klay Thompson
    F David Lee

Other pieces are being talked about, too.

I hate the idea of breaking up Klay and Curry, those two are so fun to watch together. What happens when David Lee gets hurt again? You're stuck with Klay Thompson who will either go off and score 40 or be ice-cold and do nothing. At least they get a 1st rounder. I just don't like this deal for either side, but I haven't been following what other offers the TWolves have been mulling.

A healthy Bogut and Love would do some damage, sucks that it looks like Klay won't be apart of that.

Lee's stock has really gone down over the last year. His weaknesses on the court have been exposed healthy or not, can't really get much for him. Same thing with Barnes whose stock plummeted this year, and W's just couldn't sell those guys to the wolves. I do believe Barnes can still be the player West thought he could be. Just needs the right coach. Not so sure Kerr is going to be that guy.

If this was the Klay from this time last year I would do the trade. BUT, Klay finally developed his drive game, and a pull up game. Still a little to quick to take a bad shot, but I blame jackson for letting the inexperienced guys do whatever they want out there.

But Klay on offense and defense this year improved so much, I'd hate to see him leave now. Every night the guy was getting better and better this year. Last year, he would look lost at times still. If the W's do this trade, its more about needing another big and moving Lee and I can see where we need that to compete in the Western Conference.

Klay has improved and I've been a fan of his since he's been here but Kevin love is a unique talent that makes almost anyone expendable. He is the piece the warriors need to compete for the western title.

Lee can go too. His contract and fragility can't be relied on.

That's the key piece in the deal. Someone to take him and his deal on. Why we have to add a player like Klay to make this happen.

Even with Lee healthy, he really hurt us on the defensive end. He could not get this shot off inside against equal or better players. I always liked the guy too, but his game has declined and if we want to get to the next level in the west, we have to improve at the 4. Nothing against Lee, he really gave his all to this team.

Love isn't that great defensively, either, but he more than makes up for it with his scoring, rebounding, and passing. Not to mention he is the only real durable big man the warriors will have if they get him.

I think they need to give up anybody outside of curry to get him. Obviously it has to be reasonable but nobody but curry should be off limits.

Simply put, the warriors aren't winning a championship without a big man that can contribute reliably.

Roadblocks now have the Warriors not wanting to give up Klay Thompson and not wanting to bring back Kevin Martin.

There's a report that the Lakers are in play for Thompson, sending the 7th overall pick back to GSW so they could give it to Minnesota. Of course, that doesn't make sense since if picks are what Minnesota's after, the Boston package of picks is much better. Figure the Thompson to LA story is just someone playing/using the media.

Reports say Golden State's talks for Love are dead and he won't be traded before Thursday's draft.
