Am I the only one who doesn't have a problem with the match-ups? It sure seems like it. After years, and years (and yes, years) of watching this go down. Was it really any surprise that it was going to be Bama/Texas? Or better yet, that Cincy/Boise/TCU was going to get shut out? You all knew it was coming, cry foul all you want but you'll NEVER see a NON-BCS school, compete for a BCS Championship.
And then lets move on to Cincy, if they had blown out Pittsburgh, then yes, they would have claim to the title game. Yet they struggled against an average opponent and wound up on top, all because of a botched XP on Pittsburgh's side. Too bad, so sad Bearcats. So they get rewarded with Tesus and the Gators. Good luck winning that one.
Putting Boise against TCU? Again, what hurts the BCS credibility more, four undefeated teams, or two? We're used to having two undefeated teams at the end of the year. Having four would mean the BCS would almost have to go and implement a playoff system. The fallout of having four teams claim a championship would be too much for the BCS to withstand.
Oh, Texas? Yes they struggled against an average opponent as well. And thank god for them that McCoy didn't put any more loft on that ball. Either way you slice it, the #3 team is not going to get leapfrogged by the #4 team (who was idle mind you). When the #2 team wins against the #1, it's not going to happen.
Boise should be crying more about the fact that they were behind Florida at the end of it all, Florida should not be rewarded a #5, when an undefeated sits right behind them. That's about all I can disagree with, right there.
