They're not running the ball as much as they "should" because the line isn't allowing it. They've tried being stubborn running the ball a few times, and it's just not working.
What? The running game is obviously the thing that's winning the Bears football games!

Forte ran for 90 yards and two touchdowns against the Browns. Against the Rams he had 91 yards with another touchdown. Back in week four he had 121 yards and another touchdown against the Lions.

What an amazing correlation! When the Bears establish the run, they win games!

Ron Turner must think it's dumb luck because he continues to let Jay Cutler lose the game for the Bears every week.

Isn't the point of this thread: "It's not the Bear's offensive line's fault!"?

I think the offensive line does suck. In fact, its probably the worst in the league, and the starting tackle combinations of Pace/Williams and Williams/Shaffer are possibly the worst starting tackle combos of the entire decade. Amazingly, the Pace/Williams combination is what the Bears CHOSE to enter the year with. At least on the defensive side of the ball they can somewhat blame Urlacher's injury...they have no one else to blame about their offensive line.

Pace should have retired. He was horrible.

Omiyale is one of the worst offensive linemen I have ever seen.

Kruetz has been severely overrated for years. He is in the lower-tier of starting centers, IMO.

Garza is a good run blocker but not such a good pass blocker. Still, he is a decent player and would be a starter on several other NFL teams.

Williams is weak and slow. He brings nothing to the table.

Shaffer is a practice squad type player who is now a starter. He occupies the RT spot...thats about all you can say.

Matt Forte's averages per carry when he has ran it 15 times or more this season are 2.2, 3.5, 1.5, 2.1 and 3.8. It's hardly like they are sitting Chris Johnson down.

And maybe it was the fact that the 3 games you listed, the Bears were playing teams with a combined record of 4 wins after 13 weeks was the main reason they won?

Apparently this is the only level of competition the Bears know how to beat.

Ron Turner and Lovie Smith have a lot to do with it, but this Oline is bad.

We seemingly have do some of our best drafting beyond the 3rd round so hopefully we have that on our side. My brain still hurts from the Adams trade.. I lul'd at all those that were excited about it at the time. It was obviously a move in assumption that we'd be a playoff team and wouldnt need to build through the draft that much, but that was a terrible assumption and we took on a project player playing a position we didnt need to address. This whole season has been one of the most painful for me as a Bears fan, we've had much worse teams, but its never blown up in our own faces this bad. Its truly an epic disappointed.

Devin Hester is #1 Guard material, too.

Butt hurt over what? Taking you guys to the cleaners in the trade? We traded a perennial loser for a slew of draft picks (including a top 10 pick this year) and a Top 15 NFL QB?

Yeah I'm really pissed about that. Oh well at least my team didn't trade their 2nd round pick for a backup DE.

Not really, since he doesn't play for Denver. Did Viking fans ridicule Randy Moss for dogging it last week? Sheesh. Denver fans...get a collective life.
