Damian Williams's ceiling is Reggie Wayne, but at the very worst you get a dependable #2 receiver similar to Derrick Mason. He's probably the safest receiver pick in this draft barring an accident.

        107 receptions, over 1200 yards.

        Damn good receiver.

Whats the big deal with where a WR lines up. If hes the QB's number one target then hes the number one target regardless where he lines up imo

            Wait a minute...w...wh...wha...what?

The same Curtis Lofton that couldn't get on the field on 3rd downs his rookie year, still struggled against the pass this past year? You want HIM covering tight ends and receivers if we don't have the right personnel on the field? I want Mr Lofton running downhill at people, not out in space and going side to side.

Gimme your choices. You got priority for the 1st pick. The 2nd pick of the 3rd will be discussed among the 3 of us...we'll probably take a vote.

Well, the Arthur Jones pick makes my decision a lot easier. Pretty much narrowed it down for me with Alualu already off the board. Both of them wouldve worked well as a 3-4 DE imo, but they were the only two I think fit that bill that are worth considering in the top 15 picks of the second round.

Wow, your post is so bad, in some many ways, where to begin?!!??

Dude - have seen those guys draft grades?!?! Fox is at BEST a 2nd round pick AND he just had knee surgery!! Capers, on the other hand, is grading as low as a 4-5th round pick!! In either case, we're not exactly talking the second coming of Orlando Pace or Walter Jones here. We're talking about two guys with legit question marks. I'd way rather pick a playmaker like Price than gamble an early 2nd pick on one of those guys.
Capers is very athletic and will be a fast climber come the combine. As many times you've seen him graded as low as a second day pick, I've also seen him rated as high as a late first rounder (not that I agree) but most often a 2nd-3rd guy. If he doesn't show up lighter than projected at the Combine and performs strong, you KNOW he's going to get looks.

And lets not treat Jason Fox like some second day pick. He's been a rock solid lineman for Miami and on track to becoming a second round prospect with a shot at creeping into the first round, but has gotten lost in the shuffle a bit with the underclassmen. You're greatly exaggerating his knee surgery. He played on an ailing knee for the bulk of the year to begin with without much dropoff, and got it taken care of to be safe. It was a minor procedure that should not hold him back when it comes to workouts. And we aren't talking about picking either of them at 6 or 14, we're talking about 40th, where - get this, right where Jason Fox is rated to go! The idea is not as much of a reach as you think.

Price is probably the 3rd ranked UT prospect in this draft behind only Suh and McCoy. The guy had 23.5 TFL and 7.5 sacks this season - those are SICK numbers for a DT playing in any conference let alone the PAC-10. Odds are pretty good right now he's picked in the first round - NOT at number 40 in the 2nd!! Further, other than Brandon Mebane, the teams DT's are average - at BEST - do Colin Cole, Cory Redding, and Craig Terrill scare anybody?!?!
I'm not knocking Price, but the Seahawks have drafted linemen and most of them may not be spectacular, but to an outsider they are solid enough to where I would not consider the front seven a real need. But it was a "BPA" thing here and I can dig it, but when Seattle has already drafted an impact lineman (great choice BTW), for the sake of this mock anyway, I would question it considering the gaping hole just sitting there at tackle. If there are two similarly graded prospects, why not take the one who fills a hole instead of a luxury pick?

Just read my post above and you'll maybe see just how bad our defense was last year - 28th in sacks and 30th in pass defense - a team can NOT win in the NFL with those numbers. Also, "dire need" is a joke - 11 QBs were sacked more times than Hasselbeck, who by the way, was clearly one of the worst starters in the NFL by the end of the season. If you watched the games against both Tampa Bay and Tennessee, you would've seen a QB who had pretty good protection, albeit against two teams that didn't generate alot of sacks, with little confidence in his arm and WRs that just couldn't get the job done. The offenses problems in those games were more directly related to the QB and WRs than it was the offensive line. But you probably didn't see those games, so you're just repeating without thought what others have said or written - right?
I only watch you bums twice a year, and from the games I saw the offensive line needs work and the safeties suck. Cardinals were able to generate tons of heat on Hasselbeck in both games and while the offense got hot the second go-round, they still weren't able to generate many points in the second half. I think part of it was due to the lack of protection that was given to the QB.

Ok we need to vote for the Chiefs. So far they took Okung and Greg Hardy

I vote on TE Rob Gronkowski who is a huge steal at this point and he replaces the production lost from trading Tony Gonzalez

Actually, yeah I agree with that. Scratch Gronkowski. I nominate Chad Jones, Safety out of LSU. He's a complete safety

Chad Jones to the Chiefs is good, IMO.
