    2010 NFL Draft question

What are the chances of Relando McClain falling to the giants at 15?

Most of the mocks I am viewing have him going top 12 picks. Either to the Broncos or to the Dolphins.

Probably slim to be honest. Brandon Spikes can be had there but he's probably better value around 20-25

So the reason being is that I have been very high on McClain for awhile and today I saw a Mock of us getting McClain in the 1st and Cody in the 2nd. I basically jeezed in my pants. I though damn this must have been a Pro Giants guy that made this draft and it was actually a Pro Dallas guy.

It ain't gonna happen. There are good DT's that might improve their draft stock such as Jared Odrick from Penn State and Brian Price from UCLA. They are projected as late first round early second round picks. I hope that helps Chubby Giangio.

Supposedly the Giants are high on Dan Williams, DT, Tennessee. I dont want another DT at the moment and believe Safety and MLB are our biggest needs.

Fuck him. The only good DTs to come from Tennessee are John Henderson and Albert Haynesworth.

How about Sergio Kindle, LB, Texas ?

Kindle is good value here for the Giants. He is a great pass rusher who could line up at end or outside linebacker with his elite athleticism. He is having one of the most productive seasons of his career as a senior, and will be a solid nfl player wherever he goes.

He's better fit to be a 3-4 pass rushing LB.

So was Orakpo but he's transitioned well to 4-3 OLB.

I think Navarro Bowman is the top 4-3 OLB in the draft and the only one worth a top 20 pick

I'll decide if Orakpo is a good 4-3 LB after next season. Michael Clayton had a great rookie season and we all know what happened to him.

As of today, not very good.. but a LOT changes post combine.

Still barring an injury or him punching a hooker or something, I think McClain will be the first ILB off the board..

Either way I don't see him getting past Miami. He will go to Miami or Denver unless.

Kindle is a one trick pony. He's a project for any team.

Williams is probably the #3 rated DT in the country. Cody is going to eat himself out of the first round IMO.

Brandon Spikes will be available at #15 but that may be a reach.

All this depends on the combine of course.
I don't know.. Denver can go a lot of ways with their pick, even a trade down. McDaniels and co., don't strike me as the type that will draft for need.. more so who they have slotted the highest at that position.

I honestly see a lot of teams being wary of Bryant for how much time he missed this year..

If Denver passes on McClain at 10/11 for another player I will jump on the bandwagon to sign Al Davis as the team's new GM. Unless they trade down.

However I don't think McClain gets past the Chiefs.
