Many other factors exist which you are neglecting in your comment.Comment

2. A lot of games were close games Dallas won by 1, Philly by 3, Chiefs by 3, Saints by 3, Lions by 6. Those games were close field goals would have most of them they couldn't afford to play prevent dfense like that.
No one in their right mind after watching all 16 redskin games would say Campbell is anywhere near top 25 in the league, much less top half.Comment

Jason Campbell is garbage. This is what usually happened when I watch the Redskins:
- Campbell can't throw down field.
- Campbell holds on to the ball too much.
- Campbell gets sacked AND fumbles.
- Campbell makes terrible decisions, even when they're 5-yard passes.
- Redskins lose.
Can someone get Santana Moss away from there so that he can be useful to the NFL again?

A ball will be thrown to moss.. You'll see him run for it, then then instant he realize he might have to reach out to get it or dive for it, he just gives up and starts walking. What a fucking usless cunt. I like Malcom Kelly and Devin Thomas more than Moss.Comment

Wow... wow. Ouch. Ahh... ouch. My brain hurts after reading #1.
First, the difference is that Aaron Rodgers is a better quarterback than Jason Campbell. Aaron Rodgers is an arguable Top Five quarterback. Jason Campbell should be worried that Todd Collins doesn't bench him. You also make it seem as if the two receiving cores are eons apart from each other when that is far from the case. The Skins have one of the best tight ends in the game and a receiver who can be Pro Bowl caliber in Santana Moss. The Skins are sprinkled with decent receivers in a potentially good passing game. The problem is that your quarterback is Charles Barkley turrible and couldn't throw a baseball 20 yards, nevermind a football.

He is a servicable QB i never said he was a pro bowl type QB. First of all Rex had a run game and o-line things that Jason does not. Can you agree there or am i lying? To make explosive plays you need explosive playmakers. Could you please name a explosive playmaker on the team other than Moss that received double coverage all season bascially a non-factor when well schemed by d-coordinators? Devin Hester scored 13 TD's that season alone Chicago had more weapons that Washington this year.
When Clinton Portis was in the game, all teams played the run a lot more than they played the pass.
In the redzone, especially near the end of the season, opposing teams were trying to key in on Fred Davis and Moss.
Redskins have the players to makes plays. They need a QB who doesn't overthrow a 5 yard RB screen pass to make those plays happen though.Comment

Originally posted by Rolo187No I watched i all the games this year. Okay this question is to you Argath since you are a Skins fan like myself. If he is so so bad Ryan Leaf Jr. why doesn't has stats reflect that? If he has done more bad then good why is he still here on the team and ranked #15 among starters. I think he is a servicable QB an average QB not special but not horrendous. You saying his horrendous and on Jamarcus Russell level correct?
Jason Campbell has raw natural talent to be a QB. I don't see how he's developed at all since his rookie year, however. IMO, he looks like a rookie out there every year. Making careless mistakes every single game. He doesn't learn from his mistakes and that's a big problem.
Again though, you are making the argument that stats equal a good QB. I have a few statistics for you.
-As a starting QB, Jason Campbell is 20-32.
-When Jason Campbell throws the ball 30+ times in a game, the redskins are 6-22 including 1-7 this season (only win coming against the STL rams). 5 of those wins came from the 2008 season when the skins went 6-2 to start.
Is this a coincidence? I think not.Comment

Well they did have Ronnie and Caddy in the backfield as well as Brandon Jacobs for a year, so I wouldn't blame Tubberville for that.Last edited by longhornfan; 01-14-2010, 12:59 PM.Comment
