Quite hard I can assure you. Karma's a bitch.

Just a fun fact... If Favre retires after this season, his last pass as a Falcon, Packer, Jet, and Viking was an interception.

First pass as a Falcon was an INT to.

        Returned for a TD.

Brett says he's going to take "a couple of days" to decide if to come back. Since when?

Well, he did get his team farther than Aaron "Kick 6" Rodgers did with the Packers one and done, along with beating their asses twice in the regular season and spanking the Cowboys in the divisional round. This season was a success, unless you are going to fire the 30 coaches that didn't make the Superbowl.

Congrats out to the Saints fans! My ears are still ringing from how loud the dome was and the Saints deserved the win. If you had told me the Vikings would have had 2 red zone fumbles (Peterson and Barrian) and Harvin fumbling inside the 20 to set the Saints up 1st and goal at the 9, along with Peterson fumbling the ball on every other carry plus Favre throwing a couple of picks, I would have though the score would have been 45-21. The fact that it came down to a FG in OT was pretty amazing in and of itself.

I know that the Saints did not want Favre to get the ball first in OT.

No different that Nuk rooting for Kurt Warner but being a Cowboys fan really. I'll be rooting for Favre again next year if he comes back, he got his team farther than 30 other QB's.

I'm just glad the game was competitive and not a 31 point blowout that had people leaving for the exits in the fourth quarter :D

Packers future looks bright and Vikings not so much. Neither team made it to the SB, so I'ts pretty much the same for me.
He's jumping back to your side next year, so be careful what you say to him.

The Vikes getting Favre was a SB or bust move. It wasn't just to advance one game further in the playoffs. They won the central w/o Favre. They made the playoffs w/o Favre. They didn't bring Favre in to have great stats. To fall short of Miami is a failure for the Brett move no matter how you look @ it. Now Minnesota is on the Favre watch once more. Now they are dealing w/what the Pack & Jets had to go through the last 5 seasons w/no trophy for their worries.

I don't think you can classify the move to Favre as a failure. This was easily the best Vikings team since their 1998 squad. The Vikings went from having a mediocre offense last year to averaging 30ppg this year. Sure, the Vikings "made the playoffs" without Favre, but no one thought of them as being an elite team.

If you feel the Vikings bringing in Favre was a failed experiment, would you be in agreement with the Vikings releasing Favre and going with Tavaris Jackson next year?

The move was to get further. Did they get further? They accomplished the same thing they did last season, just looked better doing it. They still have a question mark @ QB going into next season. What's the diff between offseason '09 & offseason '10? When you look @ the big picture the Vikes w/Favre are no better than the Vikes w/o Favre.
