He reminds me of Shaun Rogers a bit.

The whole 3-4 vs 4-3 thing is overblown. There's no reason he can't be a 4-3 nose tackle. Play him as a tilt nose tackle and let him slam into the side of the center all game.

I can see him slipping on draft day (ala Rogers) and ending up as a late 2nd/early 3rd type of player. Somewhere where his contract won't be a liability if he busts.

I doubt (pending any significant performance in the Senior Bowl, Combine, etc.) any team will gamble with him in the first round. I see him as an early-mid second round pick.

It takes more then just being a fat ass to be a great 3-4 NT.

I think he's not going to do much in the NFL. I don't have any empirical evidence, but I think that guys who are big in college can become fat in the NFL as they get older and still be effective (like a Ted Washington or Keith Traylor). I think guys who are already fat in college don't have success in the NFL. Either they just get fatter and suck (William Perry) or their bodies break down right away (Gilbert Brown).

I could see the Chiefs taking him in the 2nd round. We desperately need a nose tackle and Saban is from the Belichick tree, which means Scott Pioli will have wood for anybody from Alabama.

ESPN did a piece on Sunday Countdown in mid november where they got all the 3-4 NTs together and asked them how much did they actually weigh. I remember the guy with the Pats, just kept saying higher higher, almost to 400lbs.

My point, lot of draft analysts talk out of their asses just to be heard. These guys are right 1 out of a 100x. Their analysis is pure guess work, because you don't know how the player will turn out once he's in a set environment. They said Chad Johnson was going to be a nuisance in the NFL, his interviews were awful and yet, he's had a very successful career and is a valued teammate. Freddie Mitchell of all people was more highly touted that this guy, Fred Ex now shows up at random events to get his face on tv.

Its all a crap-shoot, untill these guys hit the field.

I used to think he looked like an obese black woman. After seeing him shirtless I think it's going to be great seeing the first woman to play in the NFL.

Wilfork has got to be close to 400. That guy can play though.

WTF are you talking about? Stop being a retard.

But since you brought up offensive linemen, I'd say that Mike Williams of Texas is the equivalent to Shaun Cody.

There can easily be as many as 5 DTs taken in the first round. DT is one of the most important positions on defense and teams historically will take them early.
