I respectfully disagree. Steroids reguardless of what sport adds taint to the legacy of the natural athlete. Tiger's situation is a personal issue. Let's be reasonable. Every single one of us would be hypocrites if we were critical of Tiger's personal issues. I just don't see the comparison of a personal issue to a guy that's trying to gain an illegal advantage in his respectful sport.

Steroids were HUGE in the NFL in the 70s and 80s (the American Journal did a study 20% of players in the 80s), yet you hear little to nothing about them destroying the game or tainting the record books or anything for that matter. As I said, Shawne Merriman got caught and served his suspension, came right back and we never heard another thing about it.

Football and baseball are different games entirely. Baseball records are sacred. Football records are near worthless. Baseball is a pretty elegant game while football is a gladiator battle with big dudes running into one another.

I really have no idea how you can argue that the public takes steroids in baseball the same as they do steroids in football.
