Red freaking turf. I absolutely hate it. I think it's going to look overwhelmingly bad. I realize that it will stand out as something different in recruiting but I hate Boise State's blue turf and blue is a lot easier on the eyes than red. This blows.
            Thought this wasn't allowed.

I always wondered if some other school would be inspired by Boise St.

Looks like a field of blood, gore and death...fitting for a football field.

no, it's not fitting for a football field. Football fields are "meant" to be real grass and green, not turf and blood red. It's a gimmick.

Suh-weet. I think it will be interesting and actually get some more attention for the university. There is no doubt that people take notice when flipping through the channels and they see the blue turf in Boise.

I agree. I'm not a tree hugger haha, but I want dirt and muddy games.

But the turf is actually softer than natural ground and doesnt freeze like grass on hard ground when temperature drops. Can cut down on injuries or types of injuries in the long run. and the advent of the material being able to be colored easily may change the scape of future design ideas.

I miss when wichita state had a black basketball court.

well, that hasnt stopped half the nation from having their fields redone.

theyll eventually develop cleats to deal with the field texture.

Natural Grass > Field turf to play on from a players standpoint.

Trouble is when the grass gets torn up late in the year and you're left with dirt that's as hard as cement.

Shit hurts to get tackled on. I got a nasty scrape from one my junior year of HS.

Funny enough my old HS has since gone to FieldTurf.
