Schaub had a better season then Rogers, Rivers, and Roethlisberger so as of now I'm saying he's a better QB then they are.
Andre Johnson hasn't made the playoffs. Terrel Owens, Chad Johnson, and Steve Smith have.
So you're telling me that right now this instance you'd take those guys over Johnson?Comment

LOL at this thread. So um...Someone says Schaub is a great QB (ala Peyton Manning), logically, people take issue with this, except for 2 people (one of which is an idiot).
And now they backtrack and say they never said Schaub was a great QB? Classic.
however I never called Schuab great, comparable to Manning, one of the best, or anything like that.Last edited by NAHSTE; 02-16-2010, 08:53 PM.Comment

And no one said Schaub is as good as Peyton Manning, you're still putting words into our mouths.
All we are saying is that Schaub just had one of the best seasons this year among QBs.
Maybe he's not great(oh fuck, did you forget I never called him "great") but you're talking as if he's a scrub who shouldn't be mentioned when talking about the best in the LG now.Comment

Rodgers led his team to 6-10 in his first full year starting (Had a great year himself, but the team sucked; horrible defense). The Packers defense became fantastic upon switching schemes, Rodgers kept it up, and they went to the playoffs, because both sides of the ball did their part.
Schaub has a horrible defense supporting him and his team loses games. That doesn't mean he didn't have a great year.
The Saints defense was 25th.Comment

Please quote where I said Schaub was a great QB.
Oh yeah, and if you don't like it then groan this post and go make a thread in the locker room complaining about how I'm back and you want me banned.

No and no.
Rivers threw for only one less TD, less INT's, and had a higher rating. He also made the playoffs.
Rodgers: More TD's, less Int's, higher rating and made the playoffs.
They also both made the Pro Bowl.
You're a fool.
...................I'm not even going to start. I will LOL if you seriously tell me that you'd rather have Matt Schaub then Big Ben.Comment

He's a decent QB, better than average, but to call him "Great" is an overstatement of the highest order.
And for the record, no he shouldn't be mentioned when talking about the best in the league right now (aka, Peyton Manning, again).
You see how easy this is? Great = Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Tom Brady....Schaub = not as good as these players, therefore, not great.Last edited by NAHSTE; 02-16-2010, 09:03 PM.Comment

So a great QB to you can't ever be called great until he repeats a time or two. Fine. Understand it's subjective and fucking calm down, Jesus Christ.Comment

Sure, as soon as you show me where I said Schaub was great.
Pretty sure we're just talking as if he's not as good as the league's "great" QBs (aka, Peyton Manning)
Better than average =/= scrub
And for the record, no he shouldn't be mentioned when talking about the best in the league right now (aka, Peyton Manning, again).

eh for like the 5th time now. Show me where I said Schaub was great?
Jesus I didn't realize it was that time of the monthComment

It makes sense to everyone here...except for you.
How does it NOT make sense? I explained to you how it does.
Marcus Robinson had a great season for the Bears in 1999.
Did that make him a great player?
No. It made him a player who had a great season.
There's a HUGE difference.
It's amazing you can't see it.Comment

You're right HB, you never called him great. You just said it implicitly in this exchange of posts:
