My point exactly.
Some people think it takes 1 Great season to be considered Great. Some think it takes many.
It's the most stupid thing to argue over.
That's like me calling a kid who runs a 4.6 slow but you think he's fast so where gonna argue for hours on whats considered fast and whats considered slow.
I can see an argument on "Who's better" because you're arguing over people.
But an argument on "whats Great and whats Good"? LMAO then you're arguing over a fucking adjective.
We're not even arguing on rather or not Schaub is good or bad. We're arguing about rather he's Great or Good.
Do you not realize how retarded that is.Comment

Chris Cooley > Dallas Clark
Jason Witten > Owen Daniels
lmao @ dallas clark and owen daniels being in the top5. the reason they had so many yards is because their offenses throw the ball 75% of the game. Not to mention they both have great QBs. Hard to miss a perfectly thrown ball.
Dallas Clark Career:
YEAR TEAM G REC YDS Avg LNG TD FD FUM LOST
2003 IND 10 29 340 11.7 42 1 16 0 0
2004 IND 15 25 423 16.9 80 5 18 2 1
2005 IND 15 37 488 13.2 56 4 25 0 0
2006 IND 12 30 367 12.2 40 4 22 0 0
2007 IND 15 58 616 10.6 39 11 37 0 0
2008 IND 15 77 848 11.0 33 6 41 2 1
2009 IND 16 100 1106 11.1 80 10 59 1 0
Career 98 356 4188 11.8 80 41 218 5 2
Chris Cooley Career:
YEAR TEAM G REC YDS AVG LNG TD FD FUM LOST
2004 WAS 16 37 314 8.5 31 6 23 0 0
2005 WAS 16 71 774 10.9 32 7 44 3 1
2006 WAS 16 57 734 12.9 66 6 33 0 0
2007 WAS 16 66 786 11.9 39 8 46 1 0
2008 WAS 16 83 849 10.2 28 1 43 3 2
2009 WAS 7 29 332 11.4 25 2 17 1 0
Career 87 343 3789 11.0 66 30 206 8 3
Keep in mind a few things..
1. The systems they play in are compelely different. Washington is a run on first 2 downs, pass on third down offense (atleast with Gibbs it was). Indianpolis is a pass 8 downs, run 1, pass 8 downs, run 1
2. Chris Cooley was the main recieving target for his team, and often faced double coverage in games. Dallas Clark for much of his career had Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne, and still has Reggie Wayne which defense focus on first.
3. Chris Cooley was injured for much of last season and was on pace for another 700-800 yard season, but unfortunately injuries are apart of the game so whatever.
4. Dallas Clark's QB is and always has been Peyton Manning, arguably the greatest QB to play the game and most certainly the best QB in the league today. Chris Cooley has had Patrick Ramsey, an old past his prime Mark Brunell (who apparently is identical to Tom Brady :dontknow, and Jason fuckin Campbell. Jeez-us Christ.
Dallas Clark had 1 awesome season, 2 solid seasons and 4 awful seasons. Chris Cooley had 1 awful season, 4 solid seasons, and an injury plagued season.
I'll take Mr. Consistency over a one year wonder.
Edit: Well fuck, I had all those stats spaced out perfectly too. Fuck VSN. Anyways, I'll take Matt Schaub over Patrick Ramsey, Mark Brunell, and Jason Campbell all day every day
And no one said Schaub is as good as Peyton Manning, you're still putting words into our mouths.
All we are saying is that Schaub just had one of the best seasons this year among QBs.
Maybe he's not great(oh fuck, did you forget I never called him "great") but you're talking as if he's a scrub who shouldn't be mentioned when talking about the best in the LG now.Comment

What do all three of those quarterbacks have in common? They have made the playoffs; something Schaub has not done yet. Rivers has some playoff wins under his belt and Roethlisberger has two nice Super Bowl rings already. And you're calling Schaub better than them? LOL
"But no, it's a season-by-season approach!" Tell me you dumb motherfucker, if you're ranking players by season-by-season performances, would you have considered Matt Cassel a top quarterback in 2008? Players can have good years and bad years; you need to do it CONSISTENTLY to reach that top tier.
Stick to posting in The Studio and let the big boys talk football in here. We actually know what we're talking about.

If a QB puts up huge numbers and winds up with a .500 or worse record, those numbers mean nothing. They usually just come because the team is playing from behind.
A QB whose one good statistical season (so far) has led to a non-winning record for his team is not a great QB. Not saying it won't happen, but he's not now. Right now he's a great fantasy QB, but not real life.Comment

That was some great trolling.
1 single post by you caused a bunch of ruckus and flamming that you completely dodged.
P.S.- I said that was great trolling. Not to be confused with saying Argath is a great troller, I also didn't say he was the best alive and should be in the hall of fame...Comment
