The ankle must really be bothering him. Can't imagine that he would be doing the rope-a-dope here knowing the media backlash and the fact the Vikings didn't care if he came to camp late. It doesn't buy him anything to retire and un-retire so this is probably the final farewell.

I feel like "This is it" means more like this season will be it.

Is there a reason ESPN thinks it's necessary to show the exact same shit on ESPN and ESPNnews, plus more shitty Favre coverage on ESPNU and ESPNnews. You'd think they'd talk about something else on at least one channel.

I heard this is for real. Favre is going to retire and open up a bakery in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. It will specialize in turnovers...

This far surpasses the borefest of "The Decision". It's amazing what a few texts can do for the media.

Top stories are: "When and how the Yankees will win the division and the World Series," "Less Fat Mike Golic runs faster than More Fat Albert Haynesworth," and this.

ESPN can't wait for the HOF Game and preseason to start.

Favre has been my favorite player my entire life. Him switching teams did not change that. Packers are my favorite team, Favre is my favorite player. It's not an easy battle. But hey, each Packers/Vikings game was a win-win last season.

Now everyone knows why Ted Thompson busted his balls about giving the team a decision early in the offseason. Tavaris Jackson is not a starter. The Vikings are fucked.

I won't believe he's retired until he sits out the entire season, but I do believe he will never play for Minnesota again.

If he doesn't play for Minnesota, he's not playing for anyone. Maybe the Packers if Rodgers gets hurt....wouldn't that be a clusterfuck and a half.

I think he burned the bridges between him and both Minnesota and Green Bay. Besides the coaches are really high on Matt Flynn (IDK why).

Just watch the rumor mill hit high gear if Drew Brees or any other contender's starting QB goes down.

Matt Flynn is awesome. Dude is smart as hell. He isn't gonna take over a game, but he can take care of the ball and keep you in games
