One more year of Favre and then he's out.

Dude's going to have to eat it Trent Green style brefore he leaves the game... and then gets a multi-trillion dollar contract from ESPN to be an analyst.

Favre and John Madden for one night only on a broadcast...

I'm really disappointed that you guys can't see this for what it is. VSN is smarter than that.

Brett Favre hasn't retired from anything except training camps. This was painfully clear last year, and it'll be the case again this year.

I don't blame him for it; all the years he's played, the beating his body's taken, and let's face it, training camp is a tremendous grind and flat out sucks for old vets.

That being said, I'd have a hell of a lot more respect for him if he just came out and was honest about all this BS. It worked out fine for him last year, so I don't think anyone could hold that against him at this point.

      See you Week 1, Brett.

LOL @ the people hating on Brett Favre for this by the way. He hasn't said a single word to anyone still, other than the fact that he is undecided.

I don't have a problem with Favre skipping the pre-season. He's earned the right.

I have no problem with him being paid $13 million a season. He certainly earned it last year and likely makes any team he plays for a ton of money (merchandise and what-not).

But I am absolutely sick of this retirement crap. I feel bad for Minnesota, because they could never address their QB questions until they got an answer from Favre. There's no way they're a Super Bowl contender with Tarvaris Jackson or Sage Rosenfels.

The fact that it's been a whole day now and it STILL isn't confirmed has to make this whole thing bogus. Either that or Favre really wanted to create a circus out of his (?)final(?) retirement announcement.

I believe both of these theories are equally plausible at this point.

Maybe, but it was still a good article.

Mein Kamph was a good book if you overlooked all of the stuff that wasn't true.

Mein Kampf didn't deal with NFL Football, so I didn't bother to read it.

seriously. I can't beleive you just brought up Mein Kampf in a fucking thread about Favre. you are ridiculous. Get off the drama queens nuts already.

This is when I can hold up my "In Ted I Trust" sign for all to see as I sit in my green and gold tower and watch Minnesota deal with Brett Favre's shit. Ted Thompson didn't make the popular choice running him out of town, but it was the right decision and he had to do it. He is still vilified in Wisconsin for it.

I don't know how the Vikings can even work in camp with this bs going on. The offense doesn't even know who will be at the reins come week one. He simply has that franchise hostage and no one in that front office seems to care.

Good ol' ghost-faced Ted lookin pretty damn good right now.
