it isnt all about the elements. But thats how it was intended to be played. you guys seem to forget the bitter weather that the planet used to get pre 1980. Back before stadiums had heaters under the grass or everyone used plastic grass.

i like seeing games played in the weather. if you dont then thats your choice. but this isnt about the weather, its about money...how much money the team would lose on concessions, parking ect and how much money the city would lose by having plows running on a sunday night rather than a monday morning

nobody gives a shit about the safety of the eagles fan who drives for 3 hours in that shit to get to work monday morning. because if he doesnt show the company loses money

just like the NFL's fake we give a shit about player safety and concussion BS. thats not about the players. Its about protecting themselves from future liabilities. They know they have to bite the bullet on the 50 year old ex player who cant wipe his own ass....but they can sure as hell save themselves from paying out shitloads to todays players.

Remember "its a business" as wtb said.....remember that when your bailing out the banks again.....its a business, who cares...ya know its not good business to let your financial institutions go bankrupt.

      Again.
This had nothing to do with player safety and everything to do with fan safety.
There were cities on the U.S. East Coast that banned traffic last night, save for emergency officials.
The NFL did not re-sked this game for the players, they re-skedded it because the city itself wanted it re-skedded and there was a serious traffic risk for the fans.

I don't know why people aren't getting this.

Again, I'm also ticked off. I work tomorrow. That said, I'm glad no one died trying to drive last night after the game in Philly ... or got stranded, ran out of gas and froze to death.
      But that's just me.

Consider this Philly's response to the constant, borderline retarded interpretation of their fan base. Last thing the city needs lately is some mother and child getting t-boned by a drunk fan and that being written as "ALL EAGLES FANS DRUNKEN BABY KILLERS! (subtext - yes that might always happen but it is Philly and there was SNOOOOOOOWWWWW!)"

Get over it. It's nothing. If anything, it hurts the Eagles players more than anyone.

The NFL has 32 cities with drunk fans.
          It's called tailgating.
Philly is no better, nor worse, than 31 other cities.
Fans get drunk at 16 tailgates (save for bye weeks) every week of the season. It's not exclusive to Philadelphia.

WTF is your point Dave? I'm not an Eagles fan but I am a Philly resident and I see the shit that the media says about our city. WTF are you talking about? If you look at my post closer, you'll realize that my point is to illustrate that the national media just looks for any reason it can to shit on Philly.

You're right, I must have misread your post.
I was jumping to Philly's defence/defense ... cut me some slack.

Consider your slack cut...but still, more on point with the thread, it just bothers me that now this city is a bunch of "sissies" (per our own mayor) when if something had happened after a game that shouldn't have happened, it would be "Philly being Philly".

It's a reputation that almost every city should have if we're going to base an entire city's reputation off of the actions of a few idiots.
