Notre Dame is the dark horse here because they are the likely landing spot for the elder Armstead brother and USC transfer Armond.Comment

4* LB & Penn State soft verbal Cam Williams is going to be a Buckeye soon, and Armani Reeves plans on taking a visit soon.
4* WR Davontae Neal will be on campus this weekend.
4* OG Joey O'Connor (former PSU commit) will be on campus this weekend. He's a plan B guy behind Jordan Diamond and Kyle Dodson.
4* LB and current Tennessee soft verbal Dalton Santos is taking a visit to Knoxville this weekend... if he doesn't reaffirm there this weekend then he won't end up at Tennessee, and look for OSU to be a major player.Comment

He's 20 minutes from campus, we'll have plenty of opportunities to bribe him before NSD.
He does have a former HS teammate on each team though, Eric Reid and Eddie Lacy. I still think he ends up at Bama because he'll be able to play sooner there, but it wouldn't shock me if backs out between now and then, or "reopens his recruitment", and it comes down to the last day.Comment

Jordan Jenkins!
"My family didn't feel safe with me going to Bama." - Jordan Jenkins
lol
Defensive end Jordan Jenkins, who is ranked as the state’s No. 1 overall prospect by many, committed to UGA over Alabama. The 5-star prospect from Harris County High School also listed Florida and Auburn as his finalists.
It was a shocking turn of events for UGA with the 6-foot-3, 250-pounder. How much of a shock? Jenkins nearly cancelled his November official visit to UGA twice due to rampant speculation over Mark Richt’s future. Even after the recruiting trip to UGA, the Bulldogs weren’t thought to be a serious contender – with Jenkins listing Alabama or Florida as his leader since last summer.Comment

Bill Greene has apparently been sitting on this info for over a week now... but Taylor Decker will be visiting tOSU this weekend.
FWIW, according to Dave Berk from the ND scout site, his coach has also reached out to Michigan and Cincinnati on his behalf this past week as well.Comment

Decker will likely end up Irish. Came out last week and said he chose ND for ND not because of the coaches. I guess he could haev changed his mind but "over a week ago" Decker gavea n interview saying he was sticking with NDComment

But like I said a week ago, keep an eye on Taylor's recruitment until he signs on the dotted line. Granted, that's me just repeating what Dave Berk (ND insider), Bill Greene, and Nevadabuck say.Comment

Just my take, but I don't think he be going to tOSU this weekend, nor having his coach contact other schools on his behalf if he was solid to ND... he could just be making sure he made the right decision, could be waiting on ND's OL coach hire to clear human resources, who knows.
ND's new OL coach is a great guy and a really good hire. Great pedigree for developing NFL OL in college.
Not really worried about Decker leaving.Comment

I would agree with you... but Decker coming in on an official is HUGE. Just FWIW, ND insiders are not confident they land him... granted Ohio State insiders aren't saying Decker is going to commit to tOSU, but since I'm one of the few here with a premium subscription I thought I would just pass along what I can.Comment

At rivals they are pretty confident IIRC.
Especailly given Deckers comments last week. I'm sure he will waver, Hiestand will get hired. Talk to Decker. And it will more than likely be fine.
Don't blame Decker for looking with ND kind of in no mans land at his position coach wise right now.
If we lose Decker, we lose him. Whatever. Not an issue to me really. Didn't like him nearly as much as the scouting services did.Comment

I can only speak for what the Scout guys are saying (Of which, ND and tOSU have some of the best in the business), but Decker getting an offer and actually deciding to come in on a visit is a game-changer.

I like him. I guess I'd have him as like a 4 1/4 star guy. But some people are crazy over him. I just don't see it. I think a lot of them view him as a LT where I view him as more of a RT so I'm not as high on the kid. That being said, if he ends up at ND, obviously I'd be happy to have him. Bu t if he leaves I won't be sad about it. Whatever. Theere will be one next year. Each year we hear how "rare" a kid is...then next season.. ZOMG! L33t!Comment
