They'll have sanctions, but Ohio State is a highly renown school in Ohio. If you grew up in the Columbus area, you wouldn't even know of any other schools. Columbus worships Ohio State. My grandparents live an hour away from Columbus and Ohio State sports is all they care about in central Ohio. They get a majority of their top players from Ohio... Troy Smith, Terrell Pryor, Ted Ginn Jr.. you get the point. They'll still have grade A talent coming to them just because it's Ohio State.

There is no question other programs have same shit going on or even worse. As long as NCAA is going to have these silly rules these things are going to happen. It's been going on for years, it just happens to be our turn get busted. It sucks, but what can you do other than deal with it move on and take our lumps the next couple seasons.

I think it depends on what further information comes out, but as it is right now I really don't see Ohio State really getting into much trouble for this. Obviously the school will lose some scholarships, but I don’t see this being that bad….especially with Tressel being gone now. However, as this story develops and more information is released it could get ugly, which would mean much more severe punishments. The NCAA will probably take 2-3 years to issue a punishment anyways. If that happens I would have to believe that the elite Ohio prospects wouldn’t want to go to the school.

I would guess it would be something similar to what USC got...a two-year bowl ban and 10 less scholarships per year for the next 3 years.

The NCAA fucked up royally for even letting these players play in that bowl game. IF you want to show that you are adamant on disciplining cheaters and keeping the game clean, then don't do it half-assed.

OSU isn't the only school but doesn't mean they shouldn't be punished. They knew what was going on...not every person there but every important person knew. It wasn't his 1st time in his career and not his first time while coaching the Buckeyes. He knows everything about the star players, they aren't the guys riding the pine....he tried to protect them because they protected his winning record.
