Marv Albert joins CBS as play-by-play voice for NFL

oh yeah Marv Albert.. here is what I think of that

Albert became the focus of a media frenzy in 1997, when he went on trial for felony charges of forcible sodomy.[10] A 42-year-old woman who had had a 10-year sexual relationship with him accused Albert of calling her to his room to fix his fax machine only to see him wearing a belt and women's underwear. He then threw her on a bed at the Ritz-Carlton in Pentagon City, Virginia, biting her on the back 15 times, sodomizing her, and forcing her to perform oral sex on him.[citation needed] She also claimed that he would force her to "serve up a facial" for periods of up to 45 minutes. Albert charged that the woman was seeking revenge as he was ending their relationship and "she couldn't imagine life without him".[citation needed] After DNA tests proved that the bite marks were his, he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and battery charges, while the sodomy charge was dropped.[10][11] Albert was given a 12-month suspended sentence.[12]

Fuck-face Dolan squeezed him out of the Garden around that time (the sex scandal)...still the best voice of the Knicks ever.

              Love Marv Albert.

One of the very few guys whos voice can cover any sport.
Guys like Buck , Summerall , always sounded sport specific.

Am I the only one who is super pumped up to see the new annoucer lineups for the upcoming season?

                Yes, yes I am.

This usually excites me more than training camp or the draft.

Awesome news. It's a shame Marv and Gus can't work together though.

They both do play by play. Unless you want the dreaded 3-man booth, but even then its usually two analysts.

I realized that mid-post, but decided to post it anyway because I would still love to see a Marv & Gus called game regardless.

Somewhat off-topic: Marv offered probably the greatest video game commentary of all time on the NFL QB Club series.
