Anyways, it's interesting because I read another article recently written by a UT football walk-on who proclaims the exact opposite about the UT program. Who's correct? No idea.

That walk-on wasn't getting any benefits, but a future NFL starter will get the benefits.
I'm guessing she is telling the truth and was just dumb enough to let it out. Also by referring to hunting and fishing...two of Colt's fav things to do is funny.
At what point does the farce of the NCAA having students best interests at heart get put aside? The NCAA is one of the most hypocritical organizations on the planet. They leech the talent of young student athletes to line their pockets with millions of revenue and begrudge a student the ability to even have dinner with a booster. They are only protecting their interests and couldn't give a damn about the students.
Simple solution. Pay the players. I don't care how much, 7 bucks an hour, 10 bucks an hour, whatever. Put some money in their pocket. Stop pretending that they are getting fairly compensated with a free education. College kids like spending money. If the athletes aren't getting enough from their defacto employer the NCAA, and they aren't getting it from their parents, where the fuck else are they gonna get it?
Pay the players, and target the dubious agents, boosters and street runners who continue to predate on the athletes. Lifetime ban for those fuckheads, and reward the players who do actually keep their noses clean.

Where's this money coming from? Many of these athletic departments aren't making the money people think they are.
