According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, potential Kevin Kolb trade partners "appear to be dwindling" for the Eagles, and their leverage in talks "appears to be slipping."
The Seahawks' agreement with Tarvaris Jackson hurt. The Inquirer suggests that the Eagles "priced themselves out" of a deal with Seattle, which wasn't willing to surrender a first-round pick. League sources still tell the paper that a trade is "bound to get done," probably with the Cardinals. It's interesting to note that the Eagles have not been tied to any top free agent corners, suggesting their sights remain set on Dominique Rodgers-CromartieComment

CBS Sports' Clark Judge reports that an Eagles-Cardinals trade involving Kevin Kolb is "not dead," and the sides remain in negotiations.
Judge confirms that CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is the "centerpiece of discussions," and the sides are discussing a second-round pick that would go to Philly being added to the trade. "The deal isn't dead," writes Judge. "Far from it." Judge does concede that Kolb staying with the Eagles remains a "possibility
Philly is going to fuck themselves here.Comment

NFL Network's Mike Lombardi reports that the 49ers have jumped into the race to get free agent Nnamdi Asomugha under contract.
Lombardi calls the Niners the Jets "main competition," and assures "they are in it strong." San Francisco can clear a large amount of salary cap space by releasing Nate Clements, a move that would surely happen on Thursday if a deal with Asomugha was reached. Writers on the 49ers beat have been slightly skeptical of an Asomugha pursuit, but never ruled it outComment

Panthers making some small moves so far I'm happy with Kevin payne Ron Edwards and Charles Johnson... Rumor is Dwill will stay in Carolina... They are looking for a CB still but focusing more on their own players first... Should be one big splash to help reach cap minimum maybe cromartie who knowsComment

UPDATE: We thought the race for DeAngelo Williams was down to two teams, but Michael Lombardi of the NFL Network says three teams are in play for the free agent running back: the Carolina Panthers (who reportedly are the slight favorites), New York Giants, and Denver Broncos.
---
For running back DeAngelo Williams, it's a pretty simple decision, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, who says Williams will play for either the Carolina Panthers or Denver Broncos this fall.
Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News reports the Giants have been working since yesterday to restructure Jacobs' contract, according to an NFL source, in an effort to get far enough under the $120.375 million salary cap that they can make a strong bid to retain Ahmad Bradshaw. They have been in constant contact with Bradshaw's agent and may have even made an actual contract offer.
So this would lean to Bradshaw being done as a Giant..........Comment
