NFL Network's Jason La Canfora is confident that free agent SS Dawan Landry will land with the Jaguars.
The Florida Times Union has also reported on the Jags' interest in Landry. Jacksonville missed out on Eric Weddle when he re-signed with the Chargers Wednesday, so their sights now look to be set on Ed Reed's old running mate. Somewhat surprisingly, free agent Michael Huff is generating no buzz.

NFL Network's Mike Lombardi reports that the Jets are prepared to pay free agent Nnamdi Asomugha $12 million a year.
The question is whether that will cut it for Asomugha, who at the start of free agency was rumored to be commanding upwards of $20 million per season. In the story linked below, SI's Peter King insists, "If you don't think Rex Ryan is pushing for this, you're crazy." The Jets, for now, look to be the front-runners for Asomugha. But the 49ers are pushing hard according to multiple reports, and the Texans look to still have some interest.

      12 million what an insult

According to NFL Network's Jason La Canfora, the Dolphins have emerged as the favorites to land free agent Ahmad Bradshaw.
"I've been hearing a lot of momentum about Bradshaw to Miami," reported La Canfora Wednesday afternoon. DeAngelo Williams just knocked it out of the park with a ridiculous contract from the Panthers, and Bradshaw should be able to come pretty close. The Fins are being highly aggressive today, targeting their new feature back and new starting quarterback (likely Kyle Orton).

Seahawks agreed to terms with OG Robert Gallery on a three-year contract.
Gallery has been expected to reunite with offensive line coach Tom Cable since walking away from the Raiders in early March. An ideal fit for Cable's zone-blocking scheme, Gallery should slot in at left guard with third-rounder James Carpenter at right guard. Seattle has done an admirable job of revamping an over-matched O-Line.

NFL Network is reporting that Frank Gore wants a new contract and has elected to hold out of training camp.
ESPN's Adam Schefter has confirmed the report. Like DeAngelo Williams, Gore is 28 years old. It's not difficult to imagine Gore targeting even more than Williams, considering he's been a much more effective player over the past two seasons. Gore and his agent -- Drew Rosenhaus -- also realize the 49ers are heavily counting on the running game with Alex Smith and Colin Kaepernick listed 1-2 on one of the league's worst quarterback depth charts. (I beg to differ, we have the worst)

Texans agreed to terms with QB Matt Leinart on an undisclosed contract.
We're as surprised as you are. Leinart never climbed ahead of Dan Orlovsky on Houston's depth chart last season, and he was practically begging for a starting job this offseason. He must not have liked what he heard from the Seahawks and Redskins the past two days. This signing could lead to Orlovsky's release, as coach Gary Kubiak fought for Leinart's return.

The Browns have informed QB Jake Delhomme of his impending release.
Delhomme never had a prayer of seeing his $5.4 million salary after receiving a combined $20 million from the Browns and Panthers last season. Coaches around the league consider him an ideal mentor, so the 36-year-old will receive more interest than expected. Reuniting with John Fox in Denver and returning to Carolina are the two most likely scenarios.

Hoping since the Falcons have been extremely quiet this entire time so far, this means they are working on re-signing Clabo, Blalock, and Dahl.

Broncos lost out on their RB with WIlliams resigning in Carolina.

And 24 hours into FA the Redskins have yet to make a splash. Way to re-load.

Panthers agreed to terms with RB DeAngelo Williams on a five-year, $43 million contract, including $21 million guaranteed.
The Panthers promised to be very aggressive in keeping their core players, and GM Marty Hurney has been spending money like a mad man to make it happen. Williams would have filled a greater need in Denver, but no team was going to match the ridiculous $21 million guaranteed for a 28-year-old running back. The Panthers believe a strong running game will aid Cam Newton's develop immeasurably. Williams' hefty contract suggests he will return to the starting role in Carolina, leaving Jonathan Stewart's vast potential untapped.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Broncos have agreed to trade Jabar Gaffney to the Redskins in exchange for DE Jeremy Jarmon.

I don't understand why the Skins don't go after Kyle Orton..seems like he'd be a good fit.
