The Cardinals are reportedly "making a push" for free agent LB Stewart Bradley.
The Arizona Republic reported the Cards' interest earlier in the day, so this looks legit. Though Bradley has never played in a 3-4 scheme before, he's a talent upgrade on Paris Lenon. Not a pass rusher, the 27-year-old would play inside linebacker in Arizona's scheme. The Rams and Bills have also inquired.Comment

The Packers have paid Ryan Grant's $1.75 million pre-training camp roster bonus, ensuring he'll remain with the club this year.
We'd seen speculation that Grant might not be a Packer in 2011, but it was never realistic. James Starks didn't play nearly as well as some folks in the media portrayed last season, and beat writer Tom Silverstein confirms that the Packers' payment of the relatively hefty bonus means Grant is the heavy favorite to open camp as the starter. We project him for just over 200 carries, keeping Grant in the low-end range of RB2s.Comment

Clark Judge of CBSSports.com reports the Eagles are "expected" to sign free agent QB Vince Young as Michael Vick's backup.
Judge insists we can "bank on it" but falls shy of calling it a done deal. Assuming the deal goes through, the Eagles will have two quarterbacks better than any on the roster of their division rival Redskins. Backing up Vick will theoretically allow V.Y. to rehabilitate his image while learning from two of the best in the business in Andy Reid and Marty Mornhinweg.Comment

Redskins agreed to terms with No. 16 overall pick OLB Ryan Kerrigan on a four-year contract.
While there are question about Kerrigan's fluidity in space as an outside linebacker, there's no about his ability as a disruptive pass rusher. The 2010 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year is already penciled as the starter opposite bookend edge rusher Brian OrakpoComment

Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune is "hearing" that free agent Malcom Floyd will either sign with the Cardinals or Vikings.
Acee posted this on Twitter late Thursday. Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic quickly tweeted in response that the Cardinals "are not showing interest in Floyd." In other words, it seems apparent that Floyd's agent is using Arizona as a leverage ploy. We'd now consider Minnesota the heavy favorite to land him.Comment

The Bears have contacted the player rep for free agent WR Mike Sims-Walker.
Sims-Walker wants to play for the Bears -- he told the Chicago Tribune so a few days ago -- so it's possible Jerry Angelo's club wants to see if he'd play for a one-year minimum deal. Sims-Walker has not been connected to any other clubs. The Bears are also kicking the tires on free agent Roy Williams.Comment
