Steelers signed OLB LaMarr Woodley to a six-year, $61.5 million contract.
Woodley will make a staggering $18.1 million in 2011 and $27 million over the first two years of the deal. It makes him the second highest-paid Steeler of all time, behind only Ben Roethlisberger. Woodley, who won't be 27 until November, has racked up 35 sacks over the last three seasons as the prototypical outside linebacker in Dick LeBeau's 3-4 scheme. He was previously set to play this season on a one-year tender as the team's franchise player.

Jaguars signed TE Marcedes Lewis to a five-year contract.
Lewis becomes the second franchise player to get a long-term deal today, following Steelers OLB LaMarr Woodley. Per the Florida Times Union, Lewis will earn slightly less than $18 million in guaranteed money and slightly less than $35 million total. It's a lot to pay for a guy that never had more than two touchdowns in a season before his 2010 breakout. The Jags may have "bought high" here, something fantasy owners should avoid with Lewis.

Braylon Edwards' one-year contract with the 49ers is for just $1 million with no guarantees.
The deal was previously reported as a $3.5 million contract, but Edwards will only earn that if he catches 90 balls and goes to the Pro Bowl. In other words, it's not happening. If he has an average year, he'll make around $2 million. It's a reminder of just how far Edwards' stock has fallen. The Niners didn't overpay for Edwards' name and fantasy owners shouldn't either

              The fuck? 1 million?

In-fucking-sane. Why the fuck did we sign Plax for 3 mill then?

Because Braylon is a nutcase who will definitely miss games.

And Plax is 32, and his ass was in jail for a good while. I'd rather take the player who was on our roster and familiar with the plays. Not to mention the chemistry he had with the team.

Not buying it. We better fucking get Mason on our squad.

I'm pretty sure Mason is waiting to see what Baltimore does. If Baltimore signs Floyd (which they are supposed to be doing) then Mason will probably sign with the Jets. However, if Floyd goes else where, Mason will be a Raven.

I'm pretty sure Mase doesn't want to learn a whole new playbook for 1-2 years maximum, when he could just come back to Baltimore and already know the playbook.

You never know, look what Bray did. Signed a 1 year deal.

yea, but Braylon didn't really have a choice. Because he has gotten in a shit ton of off-field trouble, no one wanted to take a chance with these other names being thrown around.

                            Well that's a bit disappointing.

Now we find out where Mason is going. Balt or NYJ.
