I agree, but I don't see them just dropping the BCS. They've invested too much time, money and effort into it. I could live with a playoff coming from a BCS system.Comment

It also has VT ranked ahead of Clemson, even though Clemson has trounced them twice! It also has Boise way ahead of TCU, even though they lost to TCU at home. Polling is a joke.Comment

I'm honestly surprised that the NCAA hasn't consulted the fine members of this website for their ideas on how to handle college football's postseason. It seems like we have all the answers. There is no fire like passion
There is no shark like hatred
There is no snare like folly
There is no torrent like greedComment

I sense your sarcasm but the sad truth is that the NCAA members making up the current rules are no more clued in than we are, they are just wearing suits and trying to give the appearance that they know best.Comment

Sigh... January 1st-and-later bowl games were supposed to be the good ones. Now we've got 6-6 Ohio State taking on 6-6 Florida
Hope you're ready for the Urban bowl Florida fans....

Sure, but chances are Alabama is not even the second best team of the country, unless you believe whatever you are force fed.
Say LSU wins by two touchdowns, and Oklahoma State waxes Stanford 45-17 ... Great fucking job, BCS! Way to settle things on the field.Comment

BCS: "It was decided twice." *pout*Comment

What reason do I have to believe Okle St is the second best team? Okay, they beat a Ryan Broyles-less OU team in the conference championship? Oregon lost to USC and Stanford lost to Oregon. None of these teams pushed the #1 team in the country to overtime and lost by a FG. If Okie St. beats Iowa St then this wouldn't even be a a discussion.
Say LSU and Bama play an overtime game again and Stanford plays Okie St. close…..does that mean the LSU/Alabama game was justified? NoComment

And this is why polling is retarded. Are we honestly to believe that if a football goes 6 more inches to the inside of the goal post at the end of regulation in Ames that all of a sudden Okie St is clearly the 2nd best team in the country? Okie St lost on the road in overtime by literally inches.Comment

When Alabama lost to LSU Okie St. had their chance. They were #2 and lost to Iowa St. At this point both Alabama and Okie St have one loss. Bama lost to #1 LSU in overtime and Okie St. lost to Iowa St. It has less to do with Okie St. having to be undeafeted, and more to do with when they loss. Anyone with a brain understands you can't lose late in the season and if you do then you need a lot of help to get back into the championship game picture (ie. Alabama).Comment

Yes, in this situation this is how it works.

That's it.Comment
