When you have #1 v #2, and #2 wins and might not even end up as #1, that's not a real championship game. No round in that.

You can't have a playoff because the AP people might release a poll after the playoff is over, thus rendering the playoff meaningless. You can't have a playoff because the BCS people (mysterious group) would "pick the teams" for all the playoff games, thus rendering the playoff meaningless. You can't have a playoff because Dr. Saturday said in his Yahoo sports blog that the NCAA would probably use the BCS ranking system to determine the playoff teams, which is the equivalent to allowing the BCS people (mysterious group) to pick the champion.

The BCS people (mysterious group) can't "pick the teams" if you have a tournament set up.
