I shook my head a while ago when the first reports came out that he was being treated for lung cancer and his son said it was "treatable" and "his doctors are optimistic he will make a full recovery." Either lying, denial, or both. Lung cancer = #1 cancer killer. Throw in he's 84 and in a super stressed situation and it never looked good.

Cancer sucks. The only thing that sucks worse is Alzheimer's (in my experience with both in my family). With that said, I don't really feel "bad" about this. I don't really care at this point about the whole Sandusky madness. I guess to me it's another old person dying, and in this case the dude happened to coach Penn State for a while. As a Penn State grad I will be forever grateful for what he gave to the university, but at this point, as shitty of an expression as it is, it is what it is. It is impossible for me to expect people to be sad that an 80+ year old millionaire died, particularly under these circumstances.Comment

According to twitter, Joe Pa has died.
I feel sad for his former players, family and non-child molesting former coaches. I lost my respect for the guy, but he was still a father figure to hundreds of people. I feel bad for them.
Except Matt Millen. Fuck him.Comment
