    screw this...

the Rams should draft RG3 and see who comes out on top in camp or let RG on the bench for a year ,theres no such thing as too many QBs,take the chance, make the bet,let it ride, see who earns the spot, who's really better..and then draft some linemen, let the skill positions take care of themselves if these QBs are worth a damn

The 2nd worst team in the league cannot afford to spend a 1st overall and a 2nd overall in the span of 2-3 years on a QB. Let alone considering Bradford's humongous contract they can't get rid of even if they wanted to.

And tie up something like 45% of the salary cap on one position, when only one of those players can be on the field at one time?

LOL you guys need to learn to think outside the box..if they are second worst, they can damn well afford to take a freakish chance, cause it cant get any worse..who cares if you spent that much money on 2 QBs? you cant win it all in one year anyway..and if the Pats can win with no names,so can everyone else if they try hard enough..but the world is full of scardy-cats like you,so of course it wont happen

Horrible GM is a horrible GM.

Yep, when Seattle hired Pete Carrol they were more likely to sign Matt Leinart, and draft Taylor Mays right?

A defensivebacks coach will have ZERO bearing on if a front office decides to draft one specific CB. If it was a General Manager who won for years with a player on another team then maybe... or a head coach in the same situation. No positional coach will ever influence a team enough to draft a specific player.

                Doubt it.

They will get a couple firsts and a third.

By so openly shopping the pick they are actually devaluing it.

"We don't want to draft here, please give us MOAR picks" doesn't seem like a great strategy to me.

If Blackmon runs like shit then the pick becomes even less valuable.

With the Redskins offer going public I don't think it will be devalued much. They are openly shopping it but I am sure that they are sitting there still telling teams they are prepared to A) Sit and take who they want or B) trade that pick to a division rival of an interested team

                    I disagree.

There are already numerous teams in the market to take the pick...Cleveland, Washington, the Dolphins were involved, PLUS, surely some unnamed or unknown team.

Rams basically came out and said "all of these teams are involved...give us your highest and best offer and we'll take it"...

Its not a silent auction...each team knows the price they'll have to pay.

They'll come out of this with two first rounders (one of which is no more than 4 picks away from where they'd pick now) and a plethora of mid-round picks. The trade for Eli is a good guide, plus, I might add a few pieces in there.

That's a coup considering they will still take the same guy regardless of where they pick.

If the Redskins offer is as high as it is...I really highly doubt many of these rebuilding teams like Cleveland, Miami, etc pay that many picks to move up that far in relation to what the Redskins and their crazy ass owner do.

IMO Cleveland would be better served to stay put at 4, take Richardson, keep their 22nd pick as well and not waste draft picks moving up to get RGIII when if they suck again next year's QB class looks to be really solid anyways.

If the Redskins want to be stupid and overpay that's fine but I realyl don't think the stupidity will be contagious to other teams so to speak.

Look at what happened last year...

Tennessee took Locker much earlier than he was projected (the low cap hit the rookies receive now big for teams now)...

What happened was an avalanche of QBs drafted before the first few picks of Round 2 were over.

Teams know this...that is why the teams that want Griffin will have to trade up to get him...the Rams are basically saying "highest and best" and will take that highest and best offer...right now, its seemingly Washington, but as the draft gets closer...that offer might get upped when teams don't fill the QB need in free agency.

It would not shock me to see a team like the Dolphins take a QB @ their pick. Maybe a Tannehill or something (Mike Sherman is on the Dolphins staff now)...teams without QBs are desperate to get one. If they can't get Griffin @ 2, then you have Tannehill and Osweiler waiting to get picked up and for some reason, I don't think they'll have to wait...the NFL is weird like that.

While I agree with what you are saying in a general sense I just can't see the Redskins being stupid focing other teams to make moves. Especially in Clevelands case when they have a lot of problems and can filla huge hole at RB with the #4 pick, keep the #22 pick up a really nice player at that slot and move on. McCoy IMO is solid enough to get another season out of and if they implode they are in the Barkley lottery wth solid pieces around him.

RG shouldnt go to the Redskins with present coach. It wont help him. The coach is more worried about being a controller then leading teams to wins.

...and I hear Cleveland in interested, so your theory that teams who already drafted young QBs and paid big bucks to them and shouldnt bother is bullshit
