The bolded statement is incredibly stupid and dense. Miami got the highest value a WR has netted since Marshall was traded the first time. And the reason they couldn't get the same value back, IS BECAUSE HE DID NOT PRODUCE AT THAT LEVEL AND HE ISNT WORTH TWO 2nd ROUNDERS, which is the point i've been making all along. Miami got maximum value for the guy, and in fact, may have over paid to a small degree. It was a good deal for both sides. Nobody is giving up more than that for that player, c'mon.
You keep saying "they got fair value for him", as if he needed to be traded.

Im not disagreeing with that being his trade value.

Im disagreeing with the trade being a good move for Miami. Its a terrible move for Miami. They didnt need to trade him. Their offense is now much worse, and they only got two 3's as compensation.

On the flip side, Chicago got exactly what it needed, and only gave up two 3's.

Fair value or not, Chicago just got much better, and Miami just got much worse.

Don't back peddle, you did argue against the trade value, but we'll move on.

I have said multiple times that it's a good deal for Chicago, I never disagreed with that.

The new Miami staff doesn't like the player, so you can't say they didn't "need" to trade him. They didn't want him, so why keep him around? They got good value for what a WR of his caliber brings in a trade. So why do you have such an issue with it? They didn't give him away, they cleared a few million off the cap, and if this helps them land Manning, then it's a slam dunk must make move from that perspective, too.

3rd round NFL picks are good picks. They got two. This was hardly a highway robbery like people are saying. I wouldn't have had an issue with this if they had only gotten one pick.

Just wondering if Brandon Marshall will turn out to be like Muhsin Muhammad in Chicago.

Based mainly on one flukey ass season in Denver in a pass happy offense.

Unimpressed. Meanwhile Marshall even with shit house QB's in Miami put up more than respectable stats including a 1200 yard 15 YPR season last year. Meanwhile Lloyd just regressed and bounced between two teams because he was such a headache..and has been in most places.

I'm not saying Marshall is Larry Fitz or Andre Johnson but to say he's in the same tier as Brandon fucking Lloyd is laughable.

I'd also take Marshall over Santonio Holmes in a nano second as well.

Oh, Marshall isn't a headache? And I guess we're pretending that Lloyd has been playing with fantastic QB's over the same period (Orton, Tebow, and the collection of scrap heapers that back up Bradford that I bet you can't even name).

Doesn't matter, I made my point that ZoneBlitz finally conceded to, which is that the compensation was fair for both sides.

They are very comparable. If Marshall is better, and im not convinced he is with his shitty hands and dumb penalties, then it isnt by much.

You guys are severly overrating Brandon Marshall. He isn't an elite WR or a difference maker. None of the fans of the teams that have gotten rid of him miss him or care that he's gone.

Fair trade for both sides, Miami needs to move on, he didn't live up and it didn't work out. They got good value.
Well I guess we disagree on the whole lot of things. Remember how funny Brandon Lloyds career was shaping up to be before the 1 magical over inflated statistical year? Everyone had bust written all over him. He was a journeymen. Even came to to Chicago and we got to see his awesomeness in person.

Marshall on the other hand has 1,000 yards in the past 5 WR's. There are only two other WRs in the league who have done that. Not to mention with Matt Moore and Chad Henne. I dont think Im overrating him. I think he is fucking fantastic. Easily a top 10 WR in the game right now.

And I also think it wasnt a fair trade. Wasnt fair at all. A 3rd this year and a 3rd next year. When he is worth at the very least a 2.

But its all good, My team got a #1 WR for the first time since I was pooping myself. All good.

Marshall is one of three WRs in the past 5 seasons to have 1000 yards in each season.

@AdamSchefter: Bears WR Brandon Marshall was involved in another incident that could lead to an NFL review. More shortly at http://ESPN.com.

He allegedly punched a woman in the face at a night club, according to the rumors floating around.

                            L-O-L

Yeah, the Bears really raped the Dolphins here. Get a clue, people. He's not worth the trouble, the guy is a fucking headcase. Two 3rd rounders? A fucking steal at this point.

I can't wait to bump this after his 6 week suspension is up, and he's dropping passes left and right in big spots. Or catching yet another flag for unsportsmanlike, wiping out yet another key first down.

The Miami fans didn't believe me, either. The Bears fans will learn the hard way, I guess.

I highly doubt he'll be suspended for a year for this.....at most 4-6 games. Either way when he returns he's still better than anything the Bears already had, which is the point. Rumors are that when Marshall and his wife were trying to leave his wife was hit in the face with a bottle and he reacted. I really can't fault him for that, but given his history I don't even understand why he's even in the club at 4am. Marshall is a good guy, but he lacks judgement.
