While he may not have had to pass it, it's rather foolish to half ass a test that may alter your position in the fucking NFL draft. Should a team have passed on him because they believe he's partially retarded and/or doesn't take life seriously due to his actions with the test, could have cost him millions of dollars. All depends on what teams think of this test and the grades they earn.

But yeah, who cares right? Don't need to pass, so what!
Except it didn't, and he knew it wouldn't.

He knew Dallas was trading up to get him? Cause that seemed like a last second situation when the Rams got fucked and lost out on Blackmon to the Jags.

Yeah. No other team would have taken him at 6. The Bucs wouldn't have taken him at 7. He totally would have lost MILLIONS.

        Be serious.

I don't buy it. This is the easiest and most obvious excuse to make after the fact.

I'm not the type of fan to rail on players for doing poorly, also I don't think the Wonderlic matters that much but dudes not being 100% honest IMO. Probably wouldn't have scored high even if he took it seriously. If you truly don't care about the test and don't think it affects anything, don't take it at all.

I don't really care about the Wonderlic test for players in skill positions as those are largely instinctual. Claiborne making such a low score and then trying to play it off like he didn't care about the test is laughable though. Just own the low score and say that you'll do your talking between the lines on Sundays and not to over index on some meaningless test scores.

It's obvious that Claiborne is dumb as fuck and doesn't have much of a work ethic. I don't care who your employer is, that's never good. Will this affect his ability to play corner? I don't know. But right now, I wouldn't be optimistic that he won't struggle with memorizing an NFL playbook or putting in the extra work needed to succeed at the next level.

Personally I'll be cheering against him. If you think that makes me bitter, I don't care.

With any amount of normal intelligence you can put together a score higher then a four, I don't care how meaningless it is. If your future employer tells you to do something, you do it. No matter how meaningless it seems.

He grew up a 'boys fan so he learned from Jerry Jones. "There are five keys to being a businessman. Number one: Ask for the money. And I forgot the other four."

Other than a QB, I have no clue why most football players need to take this test.
QB - yes. Guy on the D making the audibles during the game - maybe.
A corner who relies on instincts - not so much.

The Wonderlic might be a reasonable test for spatial reasoning, arithmetic, etc... but I doubt a ton of NFL hall of famers scored anywhere near a 40.

If I'm not mistaken, Dan Marino's Wonderlic sucked.

If Claiborne is stupid, I simply say "see number 80? Follow him ... make sure ball never touches his hands."
