I fully admit that it was a little awkward to watch because it was two dudes. Even more because of the absurdity of the mismatched gigantic black man with the super femmy white guy.

The whole thing was weird. For some reason, it's not OK to say that, as Don Jones has learned.

I gotta be honest...I'd be a little disappointed to know Sam was the bottom. If I knew this, I wouldn't have drafted him. I want my defensive ends to be tops.

A lot of good comments in this thread that are unfortunately overshadowed by the use of racial or homophobic slurs. I think ESPN should have had anticipated Sam's partner wanting to kiss on national TV and had his call with the Rams on tape delay so that it could have been removed. That's not meant in any way to be anti-gay but most of society, especially the average NFL fan, is not ready to watch two men making out while watching the NFL draft.

Society tries too hard to push open mindedness. Open mindedness tends to close the mind to the close minded.

It also depends on how you define open minded. Is the belief itself open or closed minded? Or is it respecting that others believe differently and respecting the ethical boundaries of ones own beliefs that makes someone open minded? See, I think society tries to push closed mindedness by pushing ones own beliefs onto others, no matter what side of the belief you are on.

To me open mindedness is "I respect you have your beliefs. I respect you have your reasons for your beliefs. I may respectfully disagree with your beliefs. But we all should respect the ethical boundaries of belief".

Not true. Everything in context. A couple girls making out at a drunken frat party, sure. But making out in the middle of the public library or grade school, not so much. I believe him when he says he doesn't want to watch heteros and PDA.
