USC player quits, calls coach racist

USC redshirt senior Anthony Brown quit the team abruptly, taking to social media to accuse Steve Sarkisian of racism.

Brown, who started six games as a defensive back but recently moved to running back, posted a photo on his Instagram page that read, "COULDN'T PLAY FOR A RACIST MAN!!!!"

In the caption, Brown added that "Sark treated me like a slave in his office." When informed of the post, Sarkisian said he was "shocked" and called the allegations "ridiculous."

Redshirt junior nose tackle Antwaun Woods has already posted comments on Twitter in support of Sarkisian.

Between this and the ongoing Josh Shaw saga, Sarkisian's first game week has been filled with unexpected distractions. Sarkisian did say Thursday that he could potentially see Shaw returning to the team, but that issue will be delayed until Shaw gets healthy, at least.
