It was hard to tell there was another team on the ice listening to those freaking Versus announcers, barely said anything about the Flyers the entire game. Oh well we got the win even without Pronger.

I love reading forums and shit the day after games.

Habs fans biggest complaint was cbc "favouring" the leafs. I feel like trying to explain the whole concept of tv viewship but I'm afraid it would get lost in the carey price sucked chants.

Good win for the Flyers last night. I love how the first goal of the Pens' new arena was Briere and the first win went to the Flyers. They will be good trivia questions 30 years from now

Bobrovsky looked good, especially considering the team he was playing and the situation he was put in. I can't wait to see this team with a healthy Pronger. It should be a good season.

The kids in Edmonton were fun to watch for sure. Going to check out more Oilers games for sure.

When Eberle scored that goal I think that was the biggest roar from a crowd in edmonton I've heard in a long time.

Edmonton either next year or the year after will be going for the cup. Sourey that idiot should of played with the team. I hope he rots in the AHL for the whole season except that won't happen.

I expect you'll see Eberle score some nice goals through his career. Maybe not nicer than that one, but pretty goals won't be rare for him. He's a local kid who played with the WHL team here and he scored some beauties. Offensively, he could turn out to be a real force. If he was a bit bigger and more rounded, he would've been a top ten pick in that draft.

I found it funny that one of Eberle's teammates (Colton Teubert) was drafted earlier in the draft, and I never saw Teubert affect a game like Eberle did.

Yeah but that's because Teubert's role was more so defensive than offensive considering he's a defenceman. Teubert should look good this season since he's on the top club with LA. He's on their IR list but I know he did make the first team so can't wait.

Don't get me wrong - I like Teubert and he's a really good prospect. But it just seemed like he was ranked high as a prospect because he was big defensemen who could skate well and hit, rather than what he was doing on the ice every night. A really good defenseman can take over a game, even at the WHL level. The year they were both drafted, Teubert wasn't imposing himself on games to a large extent. He did moreso later in his WHL career. Eberle was typically the best player on the ice for either team. Put it this way - I remember discussing the draft with a friend, who went to a lot more games than I did, and he was shocked when he found out Teubert was a top 15 prospect and Eberle was seen as a fairly marginal 1st round prospect. I get the "why" of the ranking and draft position, but it always just seems weird when I think back to how each of the played when they were here with the Pats.
