Eh? Either you don't get division leader seeding (like all other sports), or you don't understand they are a pretty decent team?

Their top 6 is pretty strong and they have a decent defence. With Roloson playing on top of his game he can beat anyone, ala the 2006 Cup run with Edmonton.

Plus washington is not as good as they were. I think people finally learned how to play against the "high powered offence" and just shut them down. When you do that, the team is fucked because god knows defence is not in that teams group of words.


This year could actually see the top 2 teams going at it in the finals. Flyers are just insane and Vancouver owns the West. TSN this morning made the comment that this trade deadline has no real mega stars on the move, and that works in favour of Vancouver since they really dont need to add anyone else. I could go for a Vancouver/Philly best of 7 series.

Roloson isn't anywhere near what he used to be though. Some nights he's posting shutouts and other nights (like last night) he's letting in 7 to 8 goals although I'm surprised at how poorly Ellis has done this year.

Outside of Hedman who's playing like a boss these days their defense is pretty poor.

I know how the seeding works, I just don't watch a ton of hockey outside the Flyers and I remember the Lightning weren't that good last year. They've beaten the Flyers all 3 times they've played so far this year...I dunno I guess I just don't watch them enough.
