Please go to an away game sometime and get loud and obnoxious and see what happens. You've obviously been to very few away games in your life. Your fat little body would get pummeled by a handful of fans before the 3rd period finished.

This isn't Canada, kid. People aren't nice here. They will kick your ass if you give them a reason to.

Not saying I support it or think it's good, that's just the way it is. Keep your portly little body outside of the US and you should be ok.

You don't get it. When they went to nashville they joined the pregame festivities with the pred fans outside. The reactions were really positive and people liked them because they weren't being abnoxious pricks. They posed with pred fans for pictures and overall had a good time from what most are saying.

What you're failing to understand is that they are turning into a little bit of a sideshow to the game and people outside of vancouver are joining in and having fun with it. They arn't two guys dressed in green suits drinking beer and being huge tools. Honestly I think they are doing a really good job at being a rival fan but at the same time being good guys for the fan aspect of the game. I think if they do go down to san jose and do the same thing they did in nashville most shark fans will run with it and have a good time. They arn't there to start fights.

As far as the rival fan thing well you truely are an idiot there. I live closer to detroit then toronto and have been there a few times for different games. Not only were the fans not being huge dicks (which is surprising because it is detroit after all) but most of the games have been a pretty good expierence. I got stuck in an elivator that goes to the 3 or 4 level parking garage after a wings loss in my leaf gear and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I remember the comment "should we take him out now and blame it on the elivator" lol.

Thornton, Heatley, Marleau, Coutour, Boyle, Clowe and Setoguchi, the big names on the team are all Canadian.

Not getting into the war here, but just always seems odd that nationality goes right out the window if it is "your team". Considering like 75% of the team is the people you hate.

I've seen a fan get shit thrown at him for simply cheering his team when they scored. I've seen people swear and threaten away fans for the same reason. I've seen this at SF Giants games, Niners games, Raiders games, Sharks games, etc. It happens everywhere.

Bunch of noise about True North and Atlanta Thrashers deal being done. It isn't done, but it looks like it has a very good chance of getting this done.

If this gets done, this does free up a east spot, as Winnipeg would have to be a west team. So then who moves to the East? Nashville would keep the divisions good, but yet that makes a huge triangle when figure in Washington-Nashville-Florida.

Do you finally move Detroit over and just have Winnpeg take their place? Well that is possible. Would require some moving of the divisions, because the Northeast is a close division, and no on is hugely "south". Detroit in atlantic wouldn't work either.

But what about Columbus. They are east of detroit, so would they not be a better consideration to move?

Colombus could work, but Nashville is closest to Carolina/Tampa/Florida so geographically it's the best fit. Washington remains the oddball, but it's the Southeast division...so I don't factor where they are into it.

Nashville is also a stronger fan base and would help bring up Southeast division and could form a good rivalry with the SE.

Columbus requires the Detroit matchup because as far as I understand there's lots of Detroit support out there.

Garry Bettman made a personal promise to Mike Ilitch that he would move the Wings back to the East as soon as he could. The Wings have dibbs.

Also, Jimmy D, the VP of Detroit (and guy who drafted the amazing Steve Yzerman) said that atleast for this year Detroit will remain in the West.

Refs were calling everything tonight but for the most part many were penalties. I'm not big on the McGinn major, he read the play well and the hit itself didn't seem malicious. Rome needs to keep his head up and be more aware on that one, he didn't prepare himself for contact at all and had every right to be hit because it wasn't late.

Kesler is fucking taking the dirty play in this series to another level with some of this shit. That two hander at the end of the game was a pretty good chop.

The bad blood in this series is pretty fucking great entertainment.

Is it just me, or does Luongo seem to still not be playing that well? The 4th goal was pretty bad for a goalie of his caliber. He saw it the whole way and let it float between his legs. Playing too much NHL 10 and sitting on the goal line. Had some pretty great saves, no doubt, but he's not playing as well as he could.
