I didn't see it. He had some other moments the VS guys were commenting about that I also missed. Did see him try and elbow Pavelski to the jaw in the 2nd after a scrum.
Canucks could be in trouble if they lose both Erhoff and Rome for a period of time. What depth do they have? Ballard? Alberts? Are they healthy?
Either way, those guys are not quick and will really reduce their ability to jump into the play and contain San Jose's speed.Comment

BTW get the blinders off with the kesler shit. Both teams have been giving it to each other the same way.

Blinders? Did I say San Jose plays clean? No. Did I say there was lots of bad blood? Yeah?
Nice troll attempt retard. Lots of dirty play on both sides and I never said there wasn't any from San Jose.Comment

Man I hate the refs. They are ruining hockey. This series is a joke because it's being decided by officiating. This isn't playoff hockey man.Comment

Bunch of noise about True North and Atlanta Thrashers deal being done. It isn't done, but it looks like it has a very good chance of getting this done.
If this gets done, this does free up a east spot, as Winnipeg would have to be a west team. So then who moves to the East? Nashville would keep the divisions good, but yet that makes a huge triangle when figure in Washington-Nashville-Florida.
Do you finally move Detroit over and just have Winnpeg take their place? Well that is possible. Would require some moving of the divisions, because the Northeast is a close division, and no on is hugely "south". Detroit in atlantic wouldn't work either.
But what about Columbus. They are east of detroit, so would they not be a better consideration to move?
-Move Winnipeg to the Northwest so they are paired with the Canadian teams of the division.
-Move Colorado to the Pacific
-Move Dallas to the Central
-Move Nashville to the SoutheastFinally back after a 3 year hiatus!Comment

That seems way to complicated. Canadian teams don't all need to be paired together. Considering that Winnipeg and Minny are right beside each other, the best solution is to just cut out half of what you said, move Atlanta/Winnipeg to the central, and Nashville to the Southeast to fill their void. All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.
"rammer" and "cummings"
The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.Comment

I said take the blinders off because you've been seeing all this Kesler stuff when in reality he isn't doing all the much or different from what he normally does. I didn't imply that you said san jose was playing clean and I didn't say that you think there wasn't any from san jose.
Nice troll attempt on your part though.
As far as Erhoff he is going to be missed but I'd even throw it out there that Bieska is playing better then him and Ballard should be able to come in and fill in Erhoffs 20mins a game with no problem. Alberts will be interesting if Rome is hurt.
Courture is apparantly ok btw.

They're saying Couture is fine and should be ready to go for game 4.
Seriously though, what do you guys think about the officiating?
I honestly can't stand it. It's just so lopsided each game and there is no consistency.
I really think the awful officiating is hurting hockey and causing casual fans to watch less. It's one of the reasons why Americans dislike Soccer.
In other news, someone stole my teal men idea:

The teal men and the orange guys are pretty dumb imo. Don't steal others idea's make up your own.
In other news most were estimating that there might of been over 5000 canuck fans there last night. Was pretty funny because when the canucks scored the cheer was pretty loud.

The one guy in teal wearing the black sharks thong did get a lulz outta me.Comment

Which ones weren't penalties to you? Also, I'm not one that believes in "letting them play". You don't change the rules in the playoffs, so penalties are penalties.
I didn't agree with the McGinn major but the bloody face of Rome kind of forced the call so I kind of get it I guess.
Burrows goalie interference was weak, but if they called that high stick on Nashville vs Luongo how can you not call that? Or Holmstrom's poke on Niemi? They are consistent with calling anything vs goalies from what I've watched.
People have been bitching about the Bieksa call late in the 3rd period, it was a soft call, however is anyone taking into the count that the play has to be considered a high scoring chance? The net was empty and he put his stick in the mid section of the player, they've called that sort of stuff all year. If you do something that's by definition a penalty during a scoring chance, you go to the box.
Thinking of other calls, Mitchell was clearly high sticked for blood, so that call was legit. Desjardens clearly held Sedin's stick and his trip out of the box were both penalties that I can't see an argument against.
Thornton was also caught holding the stick and deserved two.
Kesler definitely tripped Heatley on that late break in the game, definite penalty.
Rome did cross check Wellwood in the back into the boards, don't see how you let that go.
Lapierre went high with his elbows up to White's head early in the 1st, that's for sure roughing.
Pavelski definitely ran interference on that Sharks PP in the 2nd, stuck out his leg.
There was alot of penalties but I can't see many arguments as to why they shouldn't have been called. I thought the refs were pretty good last night and at the end of the night PP time was pretty close. 13-10 minutes in favour of SJ, with 5 of VAN's minutes being major time. VAN also had 1:50 to 1:15 in 2 man advantage time.
What did you see that made the refs poor last night?Comment
