Nugent-Hopkins with his 5th goal of the season, plus an assist, kid has seven points and leads the team.

I will say again, they will be stupid to send him down. The general thought around the league/media etc is that basically everyone knows edmonton will be lucky to get into the playoffs, or close to it this year. So you might as well have the core young guys grow together and learn to play with each other now, then waste a year. Basically what is being said is there is nothing RNH will learn in juniors compared to what he can learn now in Edmonton with Hall and get them on the same page while they are still both young.

Plus with his 7 points, no chance do they send their leading scorer down. I've watched him a lot this season so far, and he looks good out there. He isn't costing the Oilers anything, and he isn't getting knocked around yet, so might as well let him go.

Oilers should want to fail and be 30th again. Because adding Yakupov to a line with the Nug and Hall would be the sickest line in the history of the NHL.

Mark Scheifele was sent back to the OHL yesturday. It is funny that he probably plays for a "better" team then Edmonton, but I saw Hopkins stays and I kind of knew he would go.

Edmonton at least has a reason to keep Hopkins because he can work with Hall and all the rest of the young guys growing together. Scheifele has basically no one, and is part of a time that needs to find an identity.

If you mention Nugent-Hopkins staying in the NHL one more time I am going to go out to his house and break his leg. Of course you'd probably just tell us that Hall and Eberle would help to mend the bone faster.

Before he'd even scored that goal (CUNT) the assistant GM had already said he's almost certainly going to be staying on the team. He's scoring goals for fun and he's staying on the team. It's not even a debate, quit debating it (with yourself).
